Introduction

Every participant had to bring a wine of the theme. We did not know which wines were brought by the others. All wines were tasted blind, also without knowing when the wine you brought yourself was poured.

Flight 1 (3 Notes)

  • 2005 Masi Campofiorin 87 Points

    Italy, Veneto, Veronese IGT

Ripe red berries and cherries in the bouquet. On the palate juicy and ripe cherries, not that much sweetness and mild acidity and tannin.

  • 2004 Marion Valpolicella Superiore

    Italy, Veneto, Valpolicella, Valpolicella Superiore

Coffee and celery in the very mature and oxidized bouquet. On the palate the same impressions, tea, chocolate, sweet soy. The wine is still drinkable and juicy, but too old now. No score.
