(21 Boulevard - Beaune) Ordered from the restaurant wine list. Quite restrained on the nose with citrus and cream but certainly impressive on the palate. It has good richness and intensity coupled with a long aftertaste. One of the better 1er Cru whites. 93 now with good potential

(21 Boulevard - Beaune) from a batch bought from FWEC. Lovely spice, red fruits and unfortunately a whiff of soy sauce. Great intensity and well integrated tannins. I feel something's off with this bottle, and Guillaume thinks so too. Still a flamboyant wine.

France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Chambolle-Musigny
(11/13/2019)
(Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé - Chambolle-Musigny) Barrel tasting with François Millet.
First wine tasted during this trip, and the deep ruby colour immediately gave an impression of this hot vintage. A nose of blackcurrant, purple flower, oak and sour plum, following by good freshness and phenolic ripeness on the palate with slightly bittersweet medium-weight flavours. 88+
