BB before CdM Vertical Magnum tasting
All of them in perfect shape. The weakest Krug 2006. Salon and the Selosse' in great shape. The Belle Époque Rose 1985 was the winner in Richard Juhlin's Milleminum tasting for the Section Rose

2011 Jacques Selosse V.O. Blanc de Blancs Extra Brut 97 Points
France, Champagne, Champagne Grand Cru
not blind, deg. 2011
drank it side by side with deg. 2010. This bottle was fresher, less oxidative with creme brulee, orange peel, vanilla cake, waffles and nuts, but everything was dominated by refreshing acidity. I think between 5-10 after disgorgenment is the right for Selosse wines. 97

NV Jacques Selosse V.O. Blanc de Blancs Extra Brut 95 Points
France, Champagne, Champagne Grand Cru
not blind, disg. 2010
drank it side by side with disg. 2011. This one is a bit more evolved than the 2011. Still great acidity but not that precise in the finish. Roasted pinenuts, apricot and honey. 94-95

2003 Jacques Selosse Champagne Grand Cru RP03 Lieux-dits Extra Brut Le Mesnil-sur-Oger Les Carelles 99 Points
France, Champagne, Champagne Grand Cru
not blind
One of my all time beloved champagnes is the first edition of Les Carelles (made from the vintage 2003). This is the version which was a few more years on the lees. Beside the clos the mesnil the best expression from the hot vintage 2003. I had the CdM a day later from Magnum. Very difficult which I would prefer but I would go for the Selosse probably. 98-99

2006 Krug Champagne Vintage Brut 94 Points
France, Champagne
not blind
VEry accessible even at this young stage, typical Krug perfume, but not the length and concentration as usually. I'm not a big fan of 2006 but the clos du mesnil was denser and much more structured. 93-94

1985 Perrier-Jouët Champagne Brut Rosé Belle Epoque 95 Points

a brilliant fresh bottle with a lot of fine bubbles. Wild strawberries, a bit black currant, filigree and nicely balanced. At his peak, nit too sweet. 95-96

1990 Salon Champagne Blanc de Blancs Brut 97 Points

Energetic and precise. Still lime and saline dominated. Starting to get a touch of roasted nut. Filigree and powerful likewise. One of the Salons I had. a least one more decade. 97
