  • 2012 Louis Roederer Champagne Cristal Brut Rosé 98 Points

    France, Champagne

The nose is perhaps a bit muted but the flavors are just amazing.
There is some classic apples, both red and green and also a touch of freshly baked bread. There is white flowers and some red berries.
The wine is still very young and has some bitterness combined with chalk and minerals. Depth of flavor is present in the long aftertaste with the bitterness ending a great impression.
There is so much balance and focus in this wine and it is just absolutely stunning.

  • 2002 Taittinger Champagne Comtes de Champagne Rosé Brut 93 Points

    France, Champagne

Dark red wine that is clearly aged. There is lots of red fruits and a lovely acidity. This has improved a lot since originally tasting it at its release and it is clearly a better wine.
Good balance, broad flavors and a solid acidity. It feels like it has reached its peak but it will stay here for at least 4-6 years. Lovely wine!

  • 1995 Salon Champagne Blanc de Blancs Brut 97 Points

    France, Champagne

The core of the green apple fruit is still crisp and acidic. It has opened up but it is truly still a very young wine. There is a touch of almond bitterness in the long refreshing aftertaste.
It is so amazing that the youthfulness is still present. The wine just jumps from the glass and is truly a legendary wine.
    Absolutely stunning!!

  • 2010 Arnaud Ente Meursault Clos des Ambres 96 Points

France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Meursault

Cool and refreshing but still with lots of buttery and popcorn notes. There is such a piercing acidity that it is almost impossible to guess blind that it is a Mersault :-)
The wine has this amazing x-factor with lots of flavor depth but still a huge and piercing acidity. Such a wonderful and amazing wine!! Absolutely mind blowing performance!!
With how it performes now, it is difficult to imagine this wine ever getting old. It can last for a very long time but I don't see any reason to wait!

  • 1998 Soldera (Az. Agr. Case Basse) Brunello di Montalcino Riserva 96 Points

Italy, Tuscany, Montalcino, Brunello di Montalcino

Very classic and light fruit but with a huge intensity. Elegant cherries and a touch of smoke and just a hint of leather. The wine still feels young but is starting to yield a hint of age. But it is in a very good spot at the moment. All about elegance and intensity. Absolutely amazing and ethereal nose which almost makes it difficult to drink :-)
There is Brunello and then there is Soldera. This bottle is another example of how great the old Soldera Riserva wines are and how great they can become with age. An absolutely stunning performance.

  • 1975 Château Trotanoy 97 Points

    France, Bordeaux, Libournais, Pomerol

Absolutely classic Bdx and an amazing performance. This is without a doubt the best wine I have ever tasted from this vintage.
It is off course showing some age but still has some young fruit. Has a good intensity and slightly sweet fruit balanced by a lovely acidity. The tannin structure is nice and not "tough/harsh" which I normally find in this vintage!
    Amazing wine!! 96-97p
