Served en magnum alongside '13 H Boillot Puligny Montrachet Caillerets. Both wines excellent and true to their AOC.. This wine a bit more rich and mouth filling. Quite fresh..Excellent finish. Solid wine that should age well.

Beautiful wine en magnum. Served alongside the '08 Bouchard Chevy. This bottle was pristine and at the top of its game. No hint of oxidation. It seems as if it will last at least another 10 years. Rich, balanced...excellent fruit, fresh and great finish. Most preferred this over the '08, only because of the added complexity of age. Both wines were great.

Beautiful wine en magnum. Served alongside the '99 Bouchard Chevy en magnum. No hint of oxidation. Lemon, honey notes on the nose. Very fresh and balanced. excellent fruit, and great finish. Most preferred the '99 over the '08, only because of the added complexity of age and feel that with another 10 years, it would be it's equal. Both wines were great.

Served at an all magnum dinner with wine friends. This wine has been in my cellar since release. At that time, it was one of the best California cabs I had tasted and has always had a special place in my heart. It is an unusual wine, given a blend of 2 different vintages...It has some '69 Heitz Martha's Vineyard in the blend. It did not disappoint! Some cedar, leather and raspberry on the nose. It seemed to blossom with air ( quite a surprise). Fruit still present on the palate with a silky finish. Although the wine is on it's very slow downward decent, It still is a very pleasant drink. It did not disappoint!

Served en magnum at our wine group dinner. Very funky nose with some Brett, red fruit, leather and herbs. The palate is ripe, smooth with sweet fruit. Soft tannins and excellent finish.

I purchased this wine in Italy. Classic nose tar, roses, black-cherries, herbs. Full bodied, layers, concentrated fruit. Soft tannins, well balanced.

Served en magnum at our wine group dinner. Deep dark color. Raspberry, velvety. Youthful, chewy. Nice balance with tannins present balanced with the excellent fruit. This should age quite well. Wait at least 5 years before opening the next one!

Impressive vintage port. Served en magnum at our wine group dinner. Decanted and it had a ton of sediment. Alluring nose of blackberry, nuts....Quite elegant beautiful, sweet and smooth on the palate. This gets better with air. A great example of what an aged port from a good vintage can become.

1986 Chalone Vineyard Chardonnay 91 Points
USA, California, Central Coast, Chalone
Served en magnum at our wine group dinner. What a surprise. We were all worried with the color...a deep gold, however, there was no oxidation and the wine was quite delicious. Dry with some butterscotch and toasty oak notes. A very pleasant drink and experience to drink a California chard of this age.
