  I really enjoyed this - it was a very yummy, very drinkable village Meursault. The nose was quite pretty, with white flowers, Chantilly cream, and lifted notes of candied grapefruit and yuzu zest, maybe a hint of stone fruit in there, all lined with a nice slatey minerality. So nice. The palate was a touch simpler, but still very attractive, with an almost deceptively freshness and energy, where bright grapefruity acidity held up otherwise fairly weighty, creamy textures of white peach, nectarines and another little blush of florals heading off into a mid length led finish that had just a little bit of chalkiness and a dusting of nutmeg spice at the end. When it warmed up, it felt a touch of sweeter, with some almost candied grapefruit notes coming out at the end. Nothing spectacular, but just a really nicely yummy village. Good at this level.

  This was absolutely lovely today. A Gevrey village par excellence. I loved the nose on it, with its cool tones of dark cherries and dried blueberries, earth and meat and mushrooms, ferrous mineral and spicy pepper and cloves, and some floral violet notes at the edges. Really nice. The palate was a touch simpler, but very pleasing also. There was decent weight for a village, with a pleasing if not exactly bright balance to its delicious flavours of dark cherries and wild berries, wet earth, mineral and a little seasoning of spice, especially as the wine trailed away into a nicely full finish. A lovely village - starting to show very nicely at this point of its evolution, but with plenty left in its tank yet.
