  • NV Jacques Selosse V.O. Blanc de Blancs Extra Brut 96 Points

    France, Champagne, Champagne Grand Cru

Version Originale. Made with 100% Chardonnay from Avize, Cramant and Oger. Disgorged 26 October 2018, base vintage 2013 with 2012 and 2011. Annual production 300 cases. So wonderful with its four years post disgorgement ageing. It’s hard to put its beauty into words - everything is in the right place and in perfect harmony. A delightful expression of the minerality of its soils without even the slightest austerity, vinous with warmth from the wood without even a trace of oxidation, salty but playful finish with a hint of candied apple, impeccable resonance and length.

Very pure and natural, not for fans of classical terroir expression, citrus and apple, delicious souplesse and elegance, effortless finesse, floral lift, hint of spice, very good length. It’s just a different conception of white Burgundy.
