  • 2018 Hofgut Falkenstein Niedermenniger Herrenberg Riesling Kabinett trocken 88 Points

    Germany, Mosel Saar Ruwer

The nose is fresh and balanced with white peaches, nectarines, pears, green apples, white fruits, apricots, white flowers, and mineral notes. The tones play well together, but this lacks some depth and intrigue at the moment. The Light bodied feel is fresh and lively with crisp, high acidity. The acidity has nice cut, but it doesn't have the edge to really drive it. This is a fun and lovely wine with an attractive freshness across the nose and palate. It lacks a little bit right now but I can see this improving with age.

  • 2018 Hofgut Falkenstein Krettnacher Euchariusberg Riesling Kabinett Alte Reben 91 Points

    Germany, Mosel Saar Ruwer

The nose is fresh and lifted with vibrant tones of white peaches, nectarines, pears, green apples, apricots, saline, white flowers, and mineral notes. This has good depth with good definition and a spring-like nature to it. The Medium bodied feel is lively and balanced with racy, high acidity. The acidity has an extra bit of sting that unbalances it just a little bit. There is a lot of tension that is lovely and fresh with good length on the finish.

  • 2018 Hofgut Falkenstein Krettnacher Euchariusberg Riesling Kabinett #12 90 Points

    Germany, Mosel Saar Ruwer

There is a fun and lively freshness to the nose with green apples, peaches, pears, nectarines, white flowers, and crushed rocks. The nose is fragrant and balanced, but it lacks some depth. The Light bodied feel is delicate and fresh with tart, high acidity. This is balanced and extremely youthful. As with many in this lineup, this is just at the beginning of its life and should develop with even just a few years of aging.

  • 2018 Hofgut Falkenstein Krettnacher Euchariusberg Riesling Spätlese #6 92 Points

    Germany, Mosel Saar Ruwer

This is just lovely from the get go with fresh and succulent tones of peaches, green apples, acacia flowers, sweet lemons, apricots, quince, saline, and crushed rocks. There is excellent depth and poise already with a real sense of style on the nose. The Light bodied feel is deft and balanced with tart, high acidity. The acidity has some sting to it but the feel has a real lovely texture right now. This is making me very happy and I really like what it's bringing already, but it will also easily develop for another 5+ years.

  • 2018 Hofgut Falkenstein Krettnacher Euchariusberg Riesling Auslese #5 91 Points

    Germany, Mosel Saar Ruwer

The nose is poised and aromatic with refined tones of green apples, apricots, nectarines, peaches, ginger, white flowers, saline, and some match stick notes. There is excellent complexity and balance with a real deliciousness. The Light bodied feel is deft and silky with racy, high acidity. The acidity has a lot of cut and provides a real lovely spine. This is clearly a newborn and there is plenty of room for development in the coming years.
