    18 months maturation, fermentation in barrique, malolactic, dosage 4gr/lt.
    The wine shows broader profile, ripe citrus fruit, more oak derived notes, quince and citrus.
    Palate shows high acidity, high carbonation, very fresh, citrus, crunchy, shows tensity, medium finish. overall, the wine looks more complex, less profound, but more layered.

    The wine seems more vibrant, has more energy, looks more fresh, citrus, yeast notes, peach, apricot, very different to Laherte tasted before.
    The wine shows freshness, citrus and lemon, high acidity, crunchy, medium body and long finish. It also feels more linear

  • 2013 Dalrymple Vineyards Pinot Noir

    This is a blend of different parcels growing at Pipers River vineyard, French oak barrique ageing, 13.6%
    The wine shows beautiful, extrovert profile, elegant and spicy, floral nots, nice sour cherry, ripe red cherries and berries, cinnamon and clove.
    In the palate, the wine shows joyful profile, pretty fresh fruit, red fruit, nice acidity, a touch of alcohol warmth in the long finish

  • 2013 Rippon Pinot Noir Mature Vine

    New Zealand, South Island, Otago, Lake Wanaka

    In the nose the wine is shows bigger and broader profile than Dalrymple tasted before, the fruit is darker, riper, black cherry, dusty, still closed with a spicier oak frame.
    In the palate, the wine is lighter, than expected, sadly feels rather empty in the midpalate, needs time to open up, medium tannins, mineral, medium finish

    New Zealand, North Island, Wairarapa, Martinborough

    In the nose, the wine shows extrovert and explosive profile, very spicy, black fruit, cherries, dark and spicy.
    In the palate, the wine shows utter elegance, very pure fruit, a touch of heat (13%), medium to high acidity, medium body, medium to long finish. Outstanding quality. -/-

    The wine shows fragrance, red cherry profile, light and beautiful, layered. Palate more vibrant, red cherry, currant, mineral, light, medium body and finish.
    Looks straightforward, but it could be that its still very fresh

    The wine shows big powerful character, bright black cherry and berry, beautiful spice frame, elegant thin oak, floral notes, cinnamon and clove
    Palate showing brutal freshness, tight tannins, very rich, mineral, very young as it is, high acidity, medium body, long finish. Way too young

    The wine shows clear deep honey/caramel color
    In the nose, the wine shows highly extrovert character, tin apricot and peach, tin pineapple, caramel, nutty, overripe white peach, raisin, nutmeg, subtly spicy, quince jam, syrup, honey, raw and cooked almond
    In the palate, the wine shows beautiful profile, tin apricot, rosewater, very sweet, honey, syrup, tin peach, nutmeg, vibrant, very different, medium acidity, long finish
    Interesting, it lacked acidity, but don’t care, my first even pinot noir dessert wine
