Very nice white floral nose, gardenia jasmine, white camellia. Rich, smooth and round texture, ripe stone fruits, some tropical with honeysuckle layer. Subtle exotic flavours. M/m+ body. Good on richness and weight. A lovely Rhone style white blend.

red berries, juicy and fresh. Rich flavours with firm, medium grained tannins. M+/full body, vibrant acidity, M+ finish with cocoa, chocolate and spices notes.

straight forwarding stone fruits, fresh acidity and a little sweet, fine structure, m+ body with moderate toast and vanilla. some mineral notes in finish, a well completed Chardonnay.

ripe dark fruits, brooding, broad spices and dry herbals, mild white pepper, pencil shaving and violet. powerful but restrained, chalky dry tannins, m+ body, elegantly structured. m+ finish full of dry herbal and a little mineral. young and gorgeous.

Cassis, oak dominating, intense dark fruit, packs of dry herbals, chalky but fine tannins, firm. this young and powerful one needs at least 5 years in cellar, my score is 91-94 actually.
Cabernet Sauvignon - 74%, Merlot - 26%, 12 Months in French Oak - 40% New.

lemon/lime, sea salt/mineral, fresh acidity, long finish with nutty hints. never seen any NZ Chardonnay present Chablis style perfectly like this. superb on complexity.
12 months in French oak cask (25% new), MC 5, BC 95.

dense dark berries, plum, some peppers, solid acidity, m+ body, dry tannins, fine grained. mild cedar and smoky notes. m+ finish with chocolate and mocha.

some reduction flavours in beginning. Rich, ripe and savoury. full-bodied, fresh blackcurrant, spice, black pepper and nut, well balanced. some earth and barn flavours. two years in French oak barriques (25% new). rich and bold, still young, give it time to integrate.

dense dark plum, blackberry, rich flavours, moderate pepper and dry herbals. long finish with oak and mineral notes. very young, 2017 is a challenging vintage, and this one was well made, very good on length and balance.

2020 is the greatest vintage of Te Mata, said by cellar door manager Zara Buck. time will prove it.
