"Served blind on the nose it's waxy, citrus, green apple with a slightly hoppy note. Medium plus intensity acidity is sharply acidic, tangy lemon and green apple, slight alcohol warmth… I had no idea - thought it might be something Italian…"
"Served blind Slight butter, very slight bacon fat, lemon over stone fruit. Juicy, creamy, lemon over stone fruit, butter, slightly textured burr, balanced, long, fresh, clean, really lovely. I knew this was mine"
"Served blind Stone fruit, cream, a little apple, slight sweet spice. Juicy, fleshy, slightly peachy, slight soft, touch of alcohol warmth on the finish with a little textured burr, simple but slightly flabby. Okay. I thought this might be a new world Gruner or something...faceplant!"
"Served blind Slight green apple, stone fruit, slight sweet spice. Medium plus intensity acidity is sharp, quite green apple on the palate, quite linear, bit ugh for me. Green apple and sharp acidity says Riesling for me. (oops)"
"Served blind Old! A little slightly sour black fruit, leather, baked earth, slight bruised apple oxidation, fruit tea. Juicy tending to medium plus intensity acidity, slight sour black fruits, slight textured burr proves leathery and a little drying, nice. This put me in mind of 70's South Australian Cabernet blends..."
"Served blind Black cherries, sweet spice but with a touch of savoury underpin, a little closed. Juicy, plenty of skin tannin texture, black hued fruits, more savoury on the palate with that sweet spice pushed back a little. I knew this was mine"
"Served blind Aromas of sweet spice, touch of leather, meaty black fruits, alcohol prickle. Medium plus intensity acidity, plenty of chewy drying tannins, a smidge of alcohol here ass well as slightly leathery notes. The acid and tannins made me think of Italy, the age notes pushed me towards early noughties. Shame."
Slightly dusty red cherry and raspberry, sweet spice, a little herbaceous and sour underpin. Juicy tending to sour red cherry fruit, plenty of textured grip, finishes a little short. Meh.
"Served blind Black hued fruits, a little floral note, alcohol warmth, wild ferment, chewy grippy tannins ripe black fruits, sweet spice, young, bold and ripe but in the more savoury spectrum. The fruit weight and warmth make me go towards Southern Rhone or Languedoc with a vintage of 2020-2022"

"Served blind Red cherry, slight dried flowers and pot pourri, slight sweet spice. Juicy acidity, savoury plenty of textured grip, muted fruit and a touch of fruit tea. Long. Lovely This, for me, shows the typicity of Piedmont Langhe Nebbiolo of less than 5 years old. "

"Served blind Muted black and blue fruit; a little blueberry, touch of tomato leaf, smidge of volatility. Chalky tannins rather dominate the palate, muted black fruits, it's a little sour- but in an over-adjusted acidity way This left me cold. I suspected it was Australian but I had no idea what it was."
