  • 2009 Cecile Tremblay Chapelle-Chambertin 94 Points

France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Chapelle-Chambertin Grand Cru

    9. Most powerful wine of the day. Stylistically quite different than her post 14/15 wine. The nose of blackberry, spiced plum and potpourri, Gamey notes can be found on the nose and palate. Very structured and well-made, yet still prefer her newer wine.

  • 2009 Domaine Georges Mugneret-Gibourg Ruchottes-Chambertin 96 Points

France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Ruchottes-Chambertin Grand Cru

A ripe yet surprisingly elegant glass. The ethereal nose of cherry and fresh-cut flowers. Meaty with a seamless, velvety mouthfeel. Complex and lifted. Gorgeous. Second favorite wine of the night
