Australia, South Australia, Limestone Coast, Coonawarra
hull oak, caramel, vanilla, sweet spice, over dense but anonymous black hued fruits. Very old school on the palate, oaky tannins and shouty black fruits. Woof

Low intensity aromas show a little stone fruit with a waxy underpin. Juicy, tangy, muted fruit is slightly sharp there is a strange candy floss note here as well. Umm, a bit odd
A little lime and crystallised lime as well as very slight green apple notes. Bone dry with a little textured burr on the mid palate, fruit sits in this textured cup, fresh acid keeps things bright, great structure, nice balance. Good.

Perfumed with honeysuckle, muted apricot. On the palate it's a little soft and bitter, the fruit is present but muted, plenty of grip. Bitterness takes over the fruit on the finish. Nah.
Stone fruit, struck match reductiveness, the fruit is peachy with supporting nectarine, apricot and slight citrus. Slight butter. Juicy acidity, tangy and fresh showing stone fruit, slightly woody texture, fruit just about persists past this with a little butter joining on the finish. Okay.

Australia, Western Australia, South West Australia, Margaret River
Red over blackcurrant, aa little dilute smelling, eucalyptus & mint underpin. In the mouth the tannins are tight and to the fore, subsuming the slightly dilute more red hued fruit. Savoury underpin. Feels like a blending component.
Australia, Western Australia, South West Australia, Margaret River
Aa little polished oak joins the dark hued fruits and lend caramel and sweet spice. Slight blackcurrant, cedar and eucalyptus here as well. Juicy acid, oak again rather dominates the fruit on the palate, woody tannic grip. Time will help but not very approachable today
Australia, Western Australia, South West Australia, Margaret River
blackcurrant, eucalyptus, cream, slight caramel, touch of toasted cedar and chocolate as well. A touch of sour red fruit initially then the oak closes down the palate, plenty of tight woody tannins, a little sweet spice. Not showing as well as I thought it would. Meh.
Meaty, savoury, slightly dirty wild ferment, jubey whole bunch notes. Juicy, slightly sour, slightly dilute, textured burr, red lolly fruit. I have concerns about longevity based on the rosé. Hmm
