    medium minus intensity aromas of quite muted fruit - slight apricot. It's quite soft on the palate with aa bitter finishes, fruit equally muted here. Nah

  • 2019 Land of Tomorrow Chardonnay

    Sweetly fruit; stone fruits; apricot, subtle buttery and lees work, very slight bacon fat. On the palate it has slightly tart apricot with aa citrus underpin and a little textured. The nose promises more than the palate delivers.

    Fresh, peachy with floral top notes, very clean notes. Juicy, more citric on the palate, a little lemon, mandarin and those peachy notes, simple , fresh , a little short but what's there is enjoyable. Okay

  • 2022 Artwine Fiano Wicked Stepmother

    Medium minus intensity aromas of herbal notes which join a little leesy and green fruit quality, touches of green gages. Slight wild ferment funkiness. In the mouth it's tangy, quite textured burr has a leesy quality, medium plenty length. Hmm

  • 2022 Artwine Gamay Smiling

    Super whole bunchy, white pepper behind black cherry with a little lozenge underpin. In the mouth it's juicy, fleshy, generous with a silky tannic burr. Charming and rather yum.

  • 2021 Hayes Family Wines Grenache Koonunga Creek Block

    Ripe red fruit, sweet spice, raspberries and strawberries, a little metallic underpin. Juicy, fleshy textured grip is lightly coarse, tiny touch of bitterness, same fruit profile, a little hard on the finish. Hmm

  • 2022 Hayes Family Wines Estate GSM Field Blend

    Savoury black plum hued fruit with a sweet red fruit underpin. Juicy, but chewy tannins dominate the palate, fruit just about resists. In it's defence it's very young. Time.

  • 2022 Rollick Wines Riesling Folly

    Australia, South Australia, Barossa, Eden Valley

    A little lime and crystallised lime as well as very slight green apple notes. Bone dry with a little textured burr on the mid palate, fruit sits in this textured cup, fresh acid keeps things bright, great structure, nice balance. Good.

    Medium minus intensity aromas are savoury, clean, slight struck match, lees work is controlled, a little stone fruit. Juicy, tangy, fleshy, similar flavour profile is joined by a little candy floss notes, lacks acid. Meh.

    Off, a little almost cork tainty note (oddly under screwcap), muted and slightly dilute fruit. Sharply acidic on the palate; sour, tangy fruit, textured burr is a little chewy. Nah.

    Perfumed with honeysuckle, muted apricot. On the palate it's a little soft and bitter, the fruit is present but muted, plenty of grip. Bitterness takes over the fruit on the finish. Nah.

    Stone fruit, struck match reductiveness, the fruit is peachy with supporting nectarine, apricot and slight citrus. Slight butter. Juicy acidity, tangy and fresh showing stone fruit, slightly woody texture, fruit just about persists past this with a little butter joining on the finish. Okay.

    Medium minus intensity stone fruit, struck match, sweet spice and slight lees lends this a 'could be from anywhere' quality. Juicy, tangy, fruit slight muted and in the citrus space, touch of textured burr. Well made but a little hmm for me. Not sure why.

    Savoury lees work, slightly reductive farty notes, struck match, muted fruit. Sharp but not high intensity acidity, touch of cream and butter, lacks fruit. Pretty awful.

  • 2021 Voyager Estate Cabernet Sauvignon Coastal

    Red over blackcurrant, aa little dilute smelling, eucalyptus & mint underpin. In the mouth the tannins are tight and to the fore, subsuming the slightly dilute more red hued fruit. Savoury underpin. Feels like a blending component.

  • 2020 Voyager Estate Cabernet Sauvignon The Modern

    Australia, Western Australia, South West Australia, Margaret River

    Aa little polished oak joins the dark hued fruits and lend caramel and sweet spice. Slight blackcurrant, cedar and eucalyptus here as well. Juicy acid, oak again rather dominates the fruit on the palate, woody tannic grip. Time will help but not very approachable today

  • 2018 Voyager Estate Cabernet Sauvignon

    Australia, Western Australia, South West Australia, Margaret River

    blackcurrant, eucalyptus, cream, slight caramel, touch of toasted cedar and chocolate as well. A touch of sour red fruit initially then the oak closes down the palate, plenty of tight woody tannins, a little sweet spice. Not showing as well as I thought it would. Meh.

    Meaty, savoury, slightly dirty wild ferment, jubey whole bunch notes. Juicy, slightly sour, slightly dilute, textured burr, red lolly fruit. I have concerns about longevity based on the rosé. Hmm
