17th Annual Young Gun of Wine awards, 3rd Annual Vineyard of the Year awards, (Establishment restaurant, George Street, Sydney): blackcurrant, eucalyptus, cream, slight caramel, touch of toasted cedar and chocolate as well. A touch of sour red fruit initially then the oak closes down the palate, plenty of tight woody tannins, a little sweet spice. Not showing as well as I thought it would. Meh.
