Introduction

Masterclass with PVG himself. First vintage in 2017 at age of 19, no batonnage, no fining, all reductive wine making to ensure the whites can age. 100% new oak but not toasted, custom made 446 litres barrel with 1 year in barrel. Wants to express the purity of the wine instead of influence of wine making. 100% whole cluster, 50% new oak. Prefers limestone soil as it drains well.

  • 2019 Pierre Girardin Meursault Les Narvaux 92 Points

France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Meursault

Pale green, wet stone, mineral, lovely core, savoury, touch reductive, lemon, full body with beautiful finish. Very impressive. After 2 weeks in the bottle, it remains amazing fresh and linear.

  • 2019 Pierre Girardin Puligny-Montrachet Les Folatières 91 Points

France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Puligny-Montrachet

Pale yellow, pronounced aromas peach, lime, lemon, full body, slightly oil texture, candied, touch of spice with persistent long finish. This is a more powerful compared to the Meursault but the Meursault edge out with its freshness

  • 2017 Pierre Girardin Corton-Charlemagne 93 Points

France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru

Fresh, peach, whiff of sulphur, banana, lovely backbone on the aroma, palate not as broad as the aromas touch oxidative with minty finish. PVG's 1st vintage, someone commented stylistically more his father style.
