Introduction
This was our annual NYE event with a fun group of 9 tonight (JG/KG,JP.GA.JP.RF/CF.KB/VB). We had a great night ringing in the new year.
2002 Bollinger Champagne La Grande Année 95 Points
France, Champagne
Light medium gold color. Drank a glass over 30 minutes plus. This had a lovely maturuty to it, and while it was substantially lacking in bubbles there was a harmonious quality and no lack of Champagne character. The nose brings apples and chalky mineral notes, while the palate offers chalk, stone, white apples, lemon oil, creme de caramel, and a light oxidative note while remaining remarkably fresh and engaging. This was still bright, though when next to the '06 CdC you surely recognize the age difference. 94+ to 95pts.

Light gold color. Drank a glass over 40 minutes. Vibrant and exciting, lifted, fine mousse, pear and melon, so fresh, ocean breezes, love it.

2015 Maison Leroy Bourgogne Blanc 90 Points

Light medium gold color. Drank a glass over 90 minutes. Lean, almond cream, slate, a bit oxidative, lemon. Good, but not what I expected from it. Did not age well over the next few days.

2018 Vincent Dauvissat (René & Vincent) Petit Chablis 89 Points

A little flat out of the gate, slate, fennel, sublte citrus, more round than i would have expected, bigger and a bit creamy, apple, rather modest shellfish character. This didn't have the typicity I'd expect, especially from Dauvissat. This may simply be a vintage thing or maybe it is a finction of age as well, but i would not hold these. 88+ to 89pts.

Light medium gold color. Drank a glass over an hour plus. This was bigger, peppery, lemon, a bit of brine, oak, with a white pepper finish.

Light gold color. Drank a glass over an hour. This was smokin' good, and I loved it. Bright, very elegant, fresh sea air, green apple, and praire grass. The palate is medium bodied, bright and filled with tart green apple, grass, and tons of dry extract, long and intnense. 93+ to 94pts.

2007 St. Innocent Pinot Noir White Rose Vineyard 94 Points

Medium red color with a 6mm transition. PNP, drank a glass over 2 hours. It's been just over a year and a half since checking in on this. Tonight's bottles was very good, but didnt rise to the level as recent bottles. It really seemed to be gaining depth and complexity over 90 minutes, just when it was about gone. Tart raspberry, dried earth, leather, tart dried berries, dried tobacco, graphite, deep and long. This really didn't even start to develop the typical perfum for an hour. 93+ to 94pts.

Very dark red/purple color. Decanted for 3 hours, drank a glass over 2 hours. Dark fruit, cassis, leather, tight, full bodied, dense, woody, black raspberry, tight and really firm tannins, but nice length. This just didn't want show a lot tonight, but it slowing came around a bit. It's all there, just didn't want to fully show itself tonight. 92(+)pts.

Very dark red color. Splash decanted and drank a glass over 2 hours. Savory, black raspberry, cassis, juicy, red cherry, dried wood. There's still plenty of tannin, but this a vibrant fruit and is well balanced. Very nice!

Dark red color, 3mm clear edge. Decanted for an hour; drank a glass over an hour plus. Funk, tar, blackberry, plum, somewhat rustic and firm. I think this is near term drinker.

2013 Bevan Cellars Sugarloaf Mountain Vineyard 93 Points

Very dark red/purple color. PNP, drank a glass over 90 minutes. Bold and filled with purple fruit, cassis and creme de cassis, mulberry, blackberry liqueur, very good, modern styled Napa. It's all about the fruit here. Still holding up a couple days later.

Very dark red/purple color. PNP, drank a glass over 90 minutes. Dark fruits, quite herbaceous, lots of oak, firmly tannic byt with a velvety texture. I seem to be the outlyer here, but the herbaceous aspect didn;t work for me.

Light gold color. Drank a glass at midnight. We ended up having this on both NYE and NYD. Nice red fruits, bright, soft texture, nice acidty, peach, lemon and lemon zest, chalk. 92+pts.
