Pale steely yellow green; fairly subdued nose, floral, mineral but a melon and more generous edge to it, a spicy ginger back end with volcanic notes(limestone), lemon, honeysuckle, cooling quality, plainer white fruit with a long driving finish; still young but in a good spot though not very developed yet.

Steely deeper yellow with slight green hues; hints of butterscotch and oxidation on nose, pithy and green herb in the background, spicy, expansive, broad on the palate, yellow fruit, some waxy, somewhat underripe; called 2014 Zilliken Rausch GG- nope.

Darker core with ruby rim; deep berry layered, blackberry, powerful but a juiciness to it, slight clay, raspberry, tart almost brambly, intensely young and almost austere but fruit and stuffing is there for graceful aging.

Dark core with a thin ruby rim; almost grapey, youthful, deep and purple fruit with a candied edge but a juicy floral note, also a richer note and cooked plum; rich and ripe on the palate, black currants, tart edge with good lifted acids, juicy; should have a nice life ahead of it.

My backup after corked Grainhubel- this can't be corked under stelvin, right?; bright yellow green; super reduced, bright lime, gasoline, don't love the nose but the palate is better, nice texture, honeyed, not bad overall; solid.

Steely greenish yellow; juicy, cidery a touch, high toned, smells like Champagne without bubbles, lemon, apple, peach, acidic but generous enough, floral and easy.

Pale yellow gold; high toned, lemony, somewhat oxidative, touch of toasted hazelnut, custardy, light more delicate feel to it, stony; natty Chassagne?

Cloudy dull ruby with paler rim; expressive nose, wilted floral, spicy, soy, age, mushroom, tomato, exotic, balsamic; at the beginning of the optimal drinking window; really good.

Super viscous, setting sun orange; honeyed, orange blossom, marmelade, caramel, heavier and viscous, while acids are still strong they cannot compete with the sheer weight of the sugar here, some mushroom; developing but still very young.

Pretty crimson red see through; candied roses, cinnamon, crunchy red fruit, sour red cherry, solid, doesn't bowl me over but very good.

Pretty ruby maroon; rapberry, darker floral with a touch of musk and smoke; pretty and more elegant on the palate; well done for the vintage.

2016 Heitz Cellar Cabernet Sauvignon Lot C-91

Blend of Martha’s and Trailside; good color; nice juicy fruit, deep Cab flavors, a little glycerin and some herbaceousness- eucalyptus, good weight but not overdone, really pretty and refined; delicious.

2017 Mullan Road Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon
USA, Washington, Columbia Valley
(Cakebread in WA) high toned red fruit, tart almost jammy, kind of basil/herb note, some cedar, old school, would have trouble recognizing this as WA, solid and affordable, acids are a bit softer and oak is ever present but a style many will find pleasing.

2018 Krupp Brothers Estates Cabernet Sauvignon Veraison Stagecoach Vineyard
USA, California, Napa Valley
(Next to Pritchard Hill) Black very inky in color; black fruit on the nose, almost cooked, very intense and imposing @ 15.8%, thankfully those fine tannins don’t leave too much grit on the palate to make this wildly out of balance.

2017 Krupp Brothers Estates Syrah Black Bart Stagecoach Vineyard
USA, California, Napa Valley
So black it absorbs the light in the room; inky, black fruit, cooked fruit, blackberry, very viscous, could see this as Barossa or Shafer Relentless in style.

2019 Tan Fruit Chardonnay Dux Vineyard
USA, Oregon, Willamette Valley, Dundee Hills
Dusty lemon, open for 2 days prior, great acids, fatter yellow fruit, really nice, not Burg, not California but in a style that is a style/category definer for the region.
