Elegant, full bodied but with some minerality and freshness, surprisingly for a Meursault this has wonderful freshness; medium finish. Nice burgundy. 91

Absolutely intense aromatics, floral, slightly herbal, plenty of complex fruit; medium bodied, integrated tannin, mature fruit; finish is long. Certainly the aromatics are stronger than the palate, but the overall balance and complexity are fabulous on both. 92-93

Needed some time to open up. Red fruited, elegant, spices; palate is light bodied, balanced 14% alcohol, red fruited; long finish. Lovely, very good, but not a huge step up from the Pignan tonight. 93

Burnished orange, lighter than my previous half bottle of 1967; aromatic, orange, caramel, saffron, spice; palate is full bodied, youthful, still some residual sweetness, some orange marmalade fruit, minerality, some spice; long finish. This is far more youthful than my half-bottle of this a few years ago, and this tastes like it could still evolve for two decades or longer. This is a phenomenal Sauternes, but it needs more age (decades) to reach the peak of the last half bottle I opened. 96++

Light golden; aromatic, some brioche and cheese, lemon, pear, complex; palate is rich and full bodied, balanced dosage, excellent mouthfeel, tons of lemon and peel, fresh; finish is medium-long. Very lovely, a good time to drink these at age 22. This is better than my last bottle. 93
