  • NV Gatinois Champagne Grand Cru Brut Réserve 83 Points

    France, Champagne, Champagne Grand Cru

Sappy overnight apples with some bready notes. Ripe peaches, has weight and feels like a vintage champagne. Shows quite a bit of those old-fashioned soft white bread.

  • 1985 Veuve Clicquot Champagne Brut Rosé Rare 94 Points

    France, Champagne

Wow!!! At first soft-boiled eggs then sundried tomatoes, rose water with a dollop of butterscotch. Its got a raw tuna fish fattyness and tastes very caviar! like! Wow! What a nose! This is absolutely intersting and lingers on my palate memory for a long time. With time, i got tea leaves and marmite and a even some spices. Complex and hard to fathom. I can't believe its age but its tasting very robust now with an air of regal-ness. Serious wine that goes beyond a bubbly or even a top grade rose, this beauty could pass off as a serious red...pinot?I still remember the taste of this wine after two weeks and I believe will stay with me for a long time. Excellent and unique.

  • 2001 Domaine du Clos de Tart Clos de Tart 85 Points

France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Clos de Tart Grand Cru

Wasabi, extracted with tight lifted brambly dark cherries. Cigar leaves. Powdery tannins. Extracted and needs lots of time to soften down but does show potential.

  • 2001 Bass Phillip Pinot Noir Premium Cuvee Rare 88 Points

    Australia, Victoria, Gippsland

    Aging brown red.
Tasted from bottle: lifted partially dried flowers, lightly forested, lightly perfumed nose. A beautiful lady with some hawthone candy flakes and stewed fruits, lively cherries, very defined acidity. After 10 mins decanting, this showed fresher hawthone berries, some tobacco leaves finishing with herbal tea leaves.
Tasted after an hour decanting: Stewed berry tea, red dates and reminding me of 8 treasures tea. Slightly ferrous and some florals but lots of earthy masculinity too. This is like genetically modified burg that aims to integrate every terroir of burg into one: some said it was a chambolle, some morey, some vosne and also some volnay. Interesting.

  • 1989 Château Rausan-Ségla 86 Points

    France, Bordeaux, Médoc, Margaux

Absolutely bursting with green capsicums, tobacco leaves and cigar all day and night long. Dark exotic fruits, meaty and I thought very pauillac with tons of cedar. This is drinking beautifully.
