  a bit of a darker presence on the nose with a dimension of earth. on the palate a bit more of an extracted quality. ben and paula call 'evergreen.'

  this definitely has a green bean expression today and the palate seems to show lower acid, but then... all three of these philippe colin wines today are showing their acid on the finish with soft texture on the mid-palate.

  a creaminess that display some element of sweet corn. i'm really just thinking about the first date that i had with this wine and how it brought me back into the fold with Chardonnay.

  yeah, major ashy component. smells like lava rock. pumice. shows quite a deal of oak in the nose, relative to the Ridge SCM Chard. shows a bit lactic.

  whoa, today this nose is so not attractive, in a very dark automotive way. i love a greasy mechanic as long as there's a deal to be had, but no deal here.

  I must take issue with cunni001's note below. light and clean?? high acid??? are we drinking the same wine here? I must admit, I didn't really enjoy this wine, but...
  rich aromatics, white pepper in the nose, medium acid and relatively the lowest acid displayed amongst today's wines. lightly pineapple fruited.

  light mint oil. liveliness of white soda on the nose. 7up is the greatestest. inspired by 7up lemon/lime citrus. lovely complexity and light toffee across the finish.

DuMol is amazing, ancien and melville not my style. Ridge and Mount Eden always excellent.
