Flight 4 - 1996 Chateau Musar (1 Note)

Ligher vintage from another cold year. 13%

  • 1996 Chateau Musar 80 Points

    Lebanon, Bekaa Valley

Lighter intensity than the '98/99 with a more orange/terracotta hue. Older nose with more pronounced furniture polish on the nose. Slight metalic note with difficult to find fruit. The nose settled down after more time in the glass becoming more animal/sweaty in character. Light on the palate with perhaps a touch of oxidation? Not as full as the '99/98/97.
