Figgins - Their BDX now comes in a handy 6 pack, and their new Riesling in an easy to carry 3 pack.
I'll pass and probably never buy again.

Betz is pushing a Chennin Blanc partnership with Quinta Essentia (South Africa).
A bit more than I like to pay for Chennin Blanc, but I'll try 2.

Arnot-Roberts
3 bottle total - $25 shipping from California.
There needs to be some sort of Winazon Prime. Shipping can be murder.
Also some California producers charge sales tax, and some don't. What's with that?

We bought a three pack of 2010 Figgins when we visited a few years ago but have passed since then. They didn't ship to SC and I didn't want to ship it to NC or GA. Then I decided it was too expensive to boot. I really liked their Toil Pinot but it was by the six pack only, no thanks.

I picked up some AR from the LBS at a good price. He is trying to sell it to up his allocation of rose.

I have bought Figgins and Toil in the past, but after visiting the Figgins facility last May, I was not overly impressed. He's riding on his parents Leonetti fame but wants to start at the top price tier - and the wine has yet to measure up.

I have not gotten a Toil offer, but if it also requires a six pack - I'm done with that one too.

Oh, my Eddie. Now I do not feel so bad about my 14 incoming bottles. With one case scheduled to arrive tomorrow. Supposedly. After a nearly 2-month wait due to warm temperatures along the route.

Enjoy!

I'll pick up a few.
I'll buy every bottle of MACDONALD that Alex will sell me.
(but probably just a 3 pk based on 227 case production and feeding frenzy mentality).
I have a buddy on the list also so I plan to help him drink his allocation as well as mine.

Then I think I only have Copain Legacy Club and Leweliing until Schrader hits.

Still way TOO HOT to ship to Loachapoka.

We had a big change in weather here this week so I asked Wine Library to send the 2 cases I bought last month.
They should be here within the hour.

12x 2009 La Querciolina Maremma Toscana Istriciaia
8X 2011 Chateau Greysac
4x 2015 Herdade do Esporao Monte Velho

and next week I expect my Merryvale shipment to arrive.

1x 2014 Merlot
5x 2015 Sauvignon Blanc

Kind of interesting. Arnot-Roberts mentioned several times recently. I received my first allocation on this release. Today, I got an e-mail with an updated allocation. More wine availability in the under $40 range. For me.

Will pass anyway. Not really in moratorium, but want to focus on consuming wines already designated for this year first. Tough job, but someone has to do it.

Cheers!

I took a chance and bought a couple bottles from Wine Library in March.
Liked it so much I bought 4 more in May and 6 more in June.
Now they're all gone so I have just the 12 from last week to take me thru next year.

In the meantime I'll keep searching for other inexpensive Tuscans that I might like.
So far the few I've tried haven't really hit the spot in the way the Querciolina has, although I buy a bottle of Torrebruna ($8) here and there from my local shop

BTW, WL had just 2 1/2 cases remaining on hand before my case purchase.

What is Tate? I got the mailing and passed as well as it seems there's too many wines and some ppl's up'ing of their pricing is impacting wine budgets negatively.

But then I wondered, why am I on this list. I have no recollection of signing up. I assume prob a rec from someone here.

Sort of in the same boat. Don't remember signing up and not familiar with the wine.

Got a final notification from Hobel today on the 2014s. Going to pass on those also.

On my recent Napa trip, had a private tasting at Continuum.

Really liked the Novicium, one of the best cab franc blends I have tried from California.

Have some on the way also.

Next year's release will give me a 10 year vertical waiting for just the right offline.

Is this the official invite, or will that be coming later?

Sounds like a great vertical - assuming this is the Continuum (and not the novicium - believe that has only been out a few years now).
Believe they have been releasing for 10 years - so you have the entire vertical from the start...

I picked up my first batch from Carissa at Bouchon Bakery back in 07.
No offline planned...yet...
