If you are on the Cayuse list are you limited to just a single 3 pack or can you buy more? Can you get an entire case if you want it? I was just curious as I don't expect to be on the list for a while if ever. I'll have to just pay up for it but I get to buy what I want and the years that I want. I just bought a few 2012's.

I believe that the limit is 2 3 packs per wine. I have been on the list for a long time, and that is what I have been getting. Though I don't remember if I have wish listed beyond the 2 3 packs.

The way the allocation works is that you are reserved x number of 3 packs of y number of wines. And I believe that x can only be 2 or less. So that means if someone gets 1 3 pack of Widowmaker when they get off of the wait list, they could wishlist one more three pack and depending on supply they might get it either that same or year or sometime in the future. Hope this helps.

That's what I thought. There isn't enough wine at this point to get a case or more of this. This is a fine strategy for the winery to limit the wine to more people I guess. I can get Foxen Julia's Pinot but I can't get 3 or 5 cases of it. That's ok because there is lots of great wine out there. Thanks

I've thought about dropping some, noting how some Cayuse can be found on the secondary market for similar costs, but with no annual "obligation." However, I then thought about how valuable it is (to me) to have perfect provenance, so I'll keep buying until I see them at a considerable discount on the secondary market.

Finally got Widowmaker. Given the speedy notification of wishlists, I'm guessing orders must have been down considerably this year.
