In an attempt to shift the focus here, I did just get a stream of tasting "notes" for 2015 Cayuse which identifies them as flawed and notes that they are not being delivered because of cork taint. I get that not everyone understands the private versus public tasting note thing, but this is the first time that I indicated that I found the reviews unhelpful.

I saw those too. Not right, and I'm glad you did that!

That is IDIOTIC and those posts should be removed. What is the point of that?

Well one counter argument. Not everyone is as clued in as we are and if you are looking at buying this wine in the secondary market and you see all the flawed notes maybe you don't buy it.

Stealing a quote from Robert Sawyer

Learning to ignore things is one of the great paths to inner peace.

In the grand scheme of things the strength of CT is that people post what they want without editorial censorship outside of Eric's golden rules.

No value and no harm in the note. As a wise man once said .... hakuna matata

I think Sam Soto's in Maui used to have that on their menu.

There is no harm in it but it also doesn't contribute anything to CT either. I guess this is no different than people leaving scores on a wine but then leave no comments about it. This also doesn't contribute much to CT IMHO. It's inert, I get it.

I received a "your check is in the mail" email today from Christophe. Wow! That was fast - impressed.

Got my check as well. Cayuse also paid interest on the monies they had received as part of the refund.

I'll say it again...Trevor and Christophe are class acts. Thanks guys.

Wife passed me the mail and said "refund?" She likes the money coming in better than going out. Fortunately she did not open, or I would have gotten, "you spent that much for 4 bottles! give me the money!!"

I just got my annual SQN "no soup for you" email. I liked the postcards more, but I guess the cost of rejection got too high for them as their waiting list grew.

Honestly not sure if I'd order any at this point, anyway, except perhaps to resell/trade. We'll see what happens if/when I ever get an allocation. Breath not held.
