I really don't understand though why people use the list price as the benchmark price. Most of the people in this thread are quite familiar with the "list" prices for wines. We know the type of quality to expect for those wines, which is what was promised by De Negoce. If we were told the truth, that these wines, at best, are worth the $15, and at worst, are barely drinkable, we would not have purchased them. The wine that I purchased, N.66, is extremely young, but it is what I would expect from a $10-$15 wine, not a $70 list price wine. And, btw, many Napa wineries sell their wine at list price, with no discounts.......and they do quite well. Then there is the issue with getting headaches after drinking a couple of glasses. Not fun.
