Some basic Burgundy from Benjamin Leroux, Ramonet & Berthaut Gerbet.

Also. Burgundy is expensive.

I was looking for some great wine I could give myself for bday present that would be of great pedigree and vintage.

6 x Chateau Esperance De Trotanoy 2018 (2nd of Trotanoy)

I am falling extremely fond of 2nd wines of great chateaus. So far my favourite has been La Gravette De Certan, but I am sure Esperance and Petit Figeac will be very good when the time comes to open them.

Consider things back to normal. I passed on 1989 Chateau la Conseillante when it popped up on sale at CellaRaiders, despite the fact that this is one of the very few Bordeaux houses I like enough to buy. So in conclusion, I bought nothing noteworthy.

Sorry Bob. Like the Kardashians, Britney Spears, and other has beens / D-listers, I was just trying to stay in the spotlight. I'll crawl back in my cellar now.

Curious... I got my hands on some 2015 Benjamin Leroux last year. It's quite good. I was unfamiliar prior to this, please tell me about your experience with his wine (if any), as I'm eager to hear opinions. Especially if I'm going to spend the big bucks.

6 x Maybach Materium 2021. Maybe the wine from Napa I enjoy the most and that I never fail to order since 2012.

Grabbed 4 bottles myself. It's the most bombastic hedonistic fruit-packed Cabernet in my cellar, for when the Purple Drankin' Cretin needs to be sated.

Can you request a plane that doesn't make use of duct tape for sealant somewhere on the fuselage?

I never thought I'd see this again.... just got an email from Ben at CellaRaiders, and there was early/mid 90's Arrowood Reserve! I scooped up all the 1993, but left 1992 and 1994 for anyone else who might want some classic Old School Cali Cab:

5 x 1993 Arrowood Reserve Speciale

Ok boys , do you REALLY want to go to that rabbit hole ? I mean, if I have to chose between flying ANY Mexican airline or American Airlines I would chose the Mexican one. I am not a frequent flyer and maybe take 10 to 15 flights a year and by FAR the worst of the worst is American. Heck, I even prefer Aeromexico to Lufthansa that I have flown a few times and they are not great. I really miss Continental Airlines , they were fantastic.

First time I've seen this site. How reliable are they in terms of wine quality? As I continue my journey into wine, I find it hard to truly explore many of the greats at their prime like Barolo or Bordeaux because I'd need to wait 25 years before I can drink them if purchased now. Really looking for a place to reliably shop wines at their prime not to cellar for decades (yet).

Ben is GREAT. I’ve been buying and occasionally selling with him for over a decade. I can’t recall ever having an issue. He’s also usually priced on the low end of the spectrum when you check Wine Searcher.

I would have happily paid $100+ for those Arrowood bottles. He had them for $69.

Eduardo…Just messing with you. My Dad was 100% Mexican and me 50%. My Dad used to love bagging on Mexico just because. He had a Mexican girlfriend who lived in Mexicali. She was having a medical procedure in Mexicali and my dad asked her if the doctors there did surgeries using ice picks? It was super funny. She laughed and then hit him. You guys don’t bag on Guatemalans?
