Anybody else receive this email today?

We much appreciate your patience and understanding, and have added your name to our wait list. If any extra bottles become available, we will contact you--as we look forward to welcoming you to our No Girls mailing list as soon as possible.

I responded to their initial release offer within minutes. I wonder if those already on Cayuse mailing list were preferentially bumped up. Any thoughts? Anyone get a different letter? This was the response I received when I signed up. I thought for sure I was in.

Congratulations!   Thank-you for your interest in our wines!

We are currently planning to release the wines in February, 2012. We will contact you as soon as they become available.

Looks familiar alright.

I heard the 2008 no girls wine was actually de-carbonated, Dr. Pepper 10 calorie soda, just rebottled!

Hmmm... I heard it was prune juice mixed with Thunderbird... Hence the name because No Girl (or boy) would want it...

I got that e-mail, about maybe getting extra bottles at some point...

Maybe they'll offer me some half-empty bottles, or some used corks

same e-mail ... filed it with the Christmas rejection from Cayuse.
I got my SQN allocation faster than Cayuse.
Looking forward to turning down my allocation when (more likely if) I ever make the list.

Anybody get an allocation if so do you have an idea what the time stamp on your return email was when you signed up for the list? I thought I was on the list then get the bummer email that I am not in January.

Has anyone actually been allocated wine?
Or is this just another urban myth ... a publicity scam?
Scott ... enquiring minds want to know.

A friend of mine got an allocation, myself and several others did not. I can't remember exactly how fast I signed up but it was almost immediately.

I haven't wanted to bother Trevor over it, I'm sure his email lit up like Christmas tree with all the grumpy people. I'm bummed, but at the end of the day it is what it is. More time and money to stalk other winemakers...

I have to say I have no idea how this list worked, but I did get an allocation. I received the offer at 7:24 pm EST on 9/1-2011. I got the recipt of being added at 7:29 pm EST. I hope that helps some folks. I don't remember racing to the pc to sign up so I must have just been sitting in front of the pc when it came in. It sounds like if you didn't sign up within the first day, maybe even the first few hours, you did not get it.

Goodness gracious, these were received well!  Wine Spectator just gave the No Girls 2009 Paciencia Vineyard Syrah a whopping 98 points!  Holy moly, those are going to spike in price no doubt.  They also gave the Grenache from the same vineyard 95 points.  Congrats to the folks at No Girls - that should sell some wine for years to come!

Wow. I am on the wait list but now I may not be able to afford them when I get an allocation.

signed up pretty early but was bumped when they allegedly moved all of the active Cayuse list members up.

over a year later and I'm still pissed

Same boat. I hold out the same hope of ever getting an allocation as I do with Cayuse... which is to say, I ain't holding my breath.

Cant recall a young winery getting those types of scores that early. No Girls higher than all of the Cayuse is quite a surprise.

Got a three pack of both and looking forward to trying them soon. Hate to crack them too early but sounds like it would be worth it

I am on the NG list as well - David Schildnecht (WA) did NOT rate NG higher than most of the Cayuse wines, which received the highest scores on any WA wine - but David DID rate them very well (92-94). Given David's conservatism in scoring, am looking forward to trying the wines.

I got plenty of people who want to sell me wine. When I finally get an allocation, I may still be interested.
or I may have found something new

I get a few of these from other lists, but this one seems to bother me more and I have no idea why...
