And away we go!

We are a couple of months behind for the 2012 vintage, so please respond to this post whether you are in for a whole share or more. If you want a 1/2 allocation, then try and match up with someone else and I will add you when you find your partner.

Right now we're looking at two barrels of Howell Mtn Fruit and two barrels of G3. Each person will get a case of blend and an equal allocation of the G3 and Howell Mtn as single vineyard wine

The deal is the same, 50/25/25 for payment, due July, September, February. The pricing right now is not 100% confirmed, but I have meetings next with with our current growers as I am told that prices will go up again this year. Last years price for an allocation (3 cases) was ~1035.00. If you back out, you're responsible for finding someone to take your share, or you forfeit your investment.

Anne and/or I will post hopefully later this week as to the exact vineyards and price. As of right now, we are dropping out of Black Sears because they raised the price on us and we have another Howell Mtn fruit source that showed better than Black Sears did last year.

5/22/12 We finally came up Aces this vintage, Spring Mountain District AVA fruit is what we were able to source. I cannot disclose the exact vineyard, but I can tell you the source has been producing Spring Mtn Cabs since the late 70's. So the full details are 2 barrels of Spring Mtn Cabernet and 2 barrels of Rutherford Cabernet (same vyrd and block as previous vintage)

Total price for the 3 case project is $1187.00
Deposit Due by June 15th - $593.50
Second Payment due by Nov 1, 2012 - $296.75
Final Payment due by March 1, 2013 - $296.75

A little change this year, since Annerk is on an extended vacation during June, I am accepting the deposits directly to my mailing address where I will manage them from there. You can always pay in full and for my dear friends across the pond, the typical Wire fees will apply. (18$ this year)

11/1/12 - 2nd Payment Status - I will be contacting everyone that I received a 2nd payment for with a PM Receipt. The rest who have I have not accounted for will also receive a friendly reminder PM. Thanks everyone for providing payment ontime.

Please make payment out out EldeVin LLC and mail to

If you don't fill up, I take a split with someone. I haven't done this in the past so maybe a stupid question, but is all the fruit Cab Sauvignon or is there some Merlot, Cab Franc and PV involved?

And with GoRedSox, we are officially half way there which means we are confirmed for at least 1 barrel of each.

I'm interested, but wouldn't mind knowing exactly what the wine is...

Cabernet? Blend? Cruel and unusual?

Here are all the wines we have in various states of ageing. The 09's have back label designs, which allow us to legally release the wine from bond, but allow each shareholder to put on custom labels as they see fit (not for resale)

This method was preferred by the shareholders of each project.

Is it too early to share the Black Sears replacement, or is it not finalized?

Welcome Back Bob. It will be great to see you and Anita again, this summer.

BTW - I have been PM'd by a couple of folks looking to get in on split shares. Please post here and get matched up with other CTers who may be interested in sharing a split share.
