Dave

You mentioned price and minimums as issues -- would it be helpful in securing Howell Mountain fruit if we agreed to increase the cost of our shares and/or expand the amount we'll be buying?

I won't presume to speak for anyone else on the board - but I'd be willing to do either or both if it helped.

The price almost doubled on us AP and I no longer have an option to go back and get it. I can already tell you the price will go up this year. Beckstoffer's added a premium of ~8% to their fruit. I just got a No go from Stagecoach, so we are on to other sources.

I will keep everyone posted, but please know that when I get the okay from a source, we will need to move quickly and I will be asking for checks quickly because I will need to sign off and most likely put a deposit down on the fruit to secure it.

Stay tuned.

Dave, Did you check with that Spring Mountain grower I've mentioned in the past? I'd like to get this nailed down ASAP as I leave for three weeks in nine days and counting.

good things come to those that wait...quick post from the mobile phone - We have Spring mountain fruit. I cannot disclose the vineyard, but source has been producing Spring mtn Cabs since the late 70's.

More details to come as soon as I complete the math and get the contract out to Annerk.

Per Dave:

A little change this year, since Annerk is on an extended vacation during June, I am accepting the deposits directly to my mailing address where I will manage them from there. You can always pay in full and for my dear friends across the pond, the typical Wire fees will apply. (18$ this year)

Please make payment out out EldeVin LLC and mail to

EldeVin LLC
22 Audubon Way
Novato, CA 94949

I'll be sending my payment to above.

I am very happy to be aboard.

Is there a reason why the spring mountain source is top secret? I only ask as I have a decent amount of spring mountain in my collection.

the source has asked that we keep there private for the time being. I feel that if we decide to continue working with them they will be comfortable with us and our project to communicate who they are, the vineyard name and possibly get a name vineyard designate on the label.

BTW - for the 2010 and beyond project, I just noticed a label of cabernet that didnt state the actual name of the vineyard, but did state that the wine was a "Single vineyard wine" so this may be a way to put a little more clarity on our Rutherford, single vineyard label.

Just a thought.
