ORIGINAL: Wine_Strategies Planning is going, slowly, but going. I've decided that immediately after Vin Italy, as it is near impossible to arrange visits to cellars/vineyards as everyone is too busy catching up, I'm going to take 4 days in Trentino-Adige. I've decided on this place, in Mezzocorona, as my base. Hopefully the weather will cooperate and I can get some good hiking in around the Dolomites. And photography, of course And wine drinking, of course course Also, I've decided to skip the tastings at the Lombardia (Franciacorta/Valtellina) pavilion, instead, I'm working with the Consorzio to arrange an entire week in the region, tasting pretty much all of the wines, and having sit down visits with the producers. Small victories, but I'll take all I can get. Now to send out all my emails to arrange my tastings at Sicily pavilion, in preparation for my three weeks (2 on Etna, 1 in Vittoria). Hoping to get some quick traction, fingers crossed. As always, I live for the photos and the notes/stories/trivia....
