List within inventory - 2/3/2013 5:53:01 AM

Hi,

I apologise if this has been answered elsewhere, but I can't find it.

Is it possible to make lists within my cellar?

I would like to have a list of wines I have designated for immediate drinking, a list for wines that I should use on a given occasion (and remember not to drink it before) etc.

When the wine is drunk it should clearly disappear from said list.

Is that possible?

Peter

You can use the Tagged List functionality. Click on My Wish List at the top and then create as many new lists as you need. It will not automatically be deleted from the list when you drink it. If you use the side panel, just delete it from the tagged list before you remove it from your inventory.

That I get. This is how I do it currently. It would however be very cool if it was possible to either have "groups", "lists", or "Flags" within my cellar.

I also maintain wish lists for a number of other things, but what I am looking for is fundamentally not a wish list, but just a flag that I can define and give certain wines in my cellar (e.g. "Drink Soon" or "Remember to get delivered from storage")

Tagged Lists are the intended way to do this. Alternatively you can add a per-bottle note and filter on that.

OK

Thanks for the quick reply. I guess if there was a way to set "delte from list if no longer in your cellar" it would solve my issue.

Our thought is that, under the advanced options on the drink or remove screen, we would add checkbox(es) to let you untag the wine from specific lists.

That would be a very useful enhancement.

One related point.

Is there an easy way to chose a specific list? Right now it seems to be a four click process:
1. My wish list
2. Narrow Results
3. List
4. Click selected list.

Would it be possible to solve with a hover window over "My wish list" to begin with?

Two clicks. 1) MY WISH LIST, 2) Pick your list from the menu.

Or just use the MY SAVED SEARCH menu for 1-click access to ANY view you want.

Got it. Had not discovered the red menu (3 clicks, but fast).

I guess I would ideally be looking for the drop down functionality somewhere on the front page without having to manually configure the search function. That is quite easy though.

Thanks for the quick answer.
