I am apparently inactive now because my phone logged me out of CT. Strange.

I am going for a 25 mile road ride tonight so am not too inactive in that sense.

Can you chat with Siri about your wine collection?

Eric - are you working a Siri interface? (That would be tough with all the French, Italian, Spanish and UK English )

Too much travel, 2 weeks in Belize on the beach, 10 days in Idaho, 1 week in Bonaire scuba diving. I just haven't had time to keep up here.

Not that I have figured out yet. She can barely dial the phone though so I don't have a lot of expectations.

Sorry, did someone say inactive users? Oxymoron? Military Intelligence; driving on a parkway; I'm from the government and I'm here to help; etc.
Been to busy with my brackets to pay attention. Sorry. Won't happen again. Don't make me drink that last bottle of Yellow Tail.

Pulled this off of the third page, I guess that is about right for the InActive users thread...

We went to an interesting wine dinner in Santa Barbara last weekend, It was a format that we hadn't seen before. It was a BYOB and the restaurant provided a three course meal with cheeses out for the pre-dinner tasting portion. Everybody brought one bottle for the pre-dinner tasting and then a second to be shared at dinner. Summerland Wines were also on hand with some of their wines. The theme for the night was PN Santa Barbara vs San Luis Obispo Counties. We took a 2010 Red2007 Ampelos Rho and a 2007 Arcadian Pinot Noir Jill's Cuvée. The Ampelos was solid but not outstanding I would put it at a 89, The Arcadian was a bit of a disappointment, it seem to be shut down and the fruit dulled. It is time to let my other Arcadian's sleep a little longer. There were probably 30+ couples there so there was more than enough wine to cause palate overload. Going in I intended to take great notes but that effort was soon abandoned and we just enjoyed the evening.

Taking notes at an offline puts you at risk of being an "active" user!

Fortunately there is usually one person with the presence of mind to act as scribe so the rest can remember what they drank.

I think five years and thirty-some posts qualifies me as inactive. I've been into wine for ten years and sometimes still consider myself a beginner with not much to contribute.

With 10 years into wine - I am sure you have stuff to contribute as some of us have only been winos for just a couple years...
Beginner, no. Inactive...averaging 7 posts per year, probably.

I rode 40 on Saturday but did pretty much nothing yesterday to make up for it so I should be ok.

If you were in the active thread I would say that you needed to get a set of rollers, but here you're ok.

I'm sneaking out for a lunch ride, shhh don't tell anybody here.

Used to have rollers but now use a trainer. Should be back on the bike in a week or so.

Trainers are a lot safer, I knew a guy that broke a shoulder in a roller crash. I was always impressed by the pros that would ride up to the rollers and then bunny hop onto them to get started. When I use to race (many years and many lbs ago) I either rode mine in the hallway or in the garage with supports.

I guess I am not really inactive after all. I do a three mile daily walk, but is pretty inactive after that. Then I get active again thinking about a glass of wine after dinner or just fall asleep on the couch, I do eat late. If we have an early dinners out with wine, I fall asleep much earlier.

Unfortunately if an inactive user posts, they are no longer inactive. Catch-22. Ask Yossarian to get in contact and have them post again, most are in Britain anyway.

I have been inactive for about 3 weeks. Its taking its toll, but getting much better I think. Need to get the mercury above freezing and go to the Recreation center. man can't sleep all Winter without getting severely out of shape. I have been trying to change, but sleep just takes over in the Winter. I do find myself awake at very odd hours. like 2:00am EST.
