No marathons were run today. I just sat in my car, a chair, a cushioned dental chair, a barstool and some seats at a stadium....and the toilet. No running at all.

You are doing good, Karl - I would be horizontal in bed for a week if I ran a marathon!

I work so much and in the very little spare time, there is hardly any time even for the TN's...

I've been bad for awhile on TNs. This is the first glass of wine this week. I did post a TN from last week.

Where have many of the former forum posters gone? We had Good to Grape, check in a while back and he is busy with new career and such, but lurking at times. I haven't seen GBM for a while either. Long Island crowd, anybody hear from GBM, in CT? Haven't seen much of pbm either. Must be the bm thing.

Hello everyone. Lurker seems kinda creepy, and I don't like creepy. Anyway... I've been drinking recently released 2012 Oregon Pinot Noirs lately. Curious to get other folks' feedback - I've been getting a Loire Cab Franc thing on the nose and palate.

I seem to spend more time on Berserkers lately as the OR Pinot talk is quite lively and I have rediscovered AFWE Pinot and cool climate Syrah. Not had any '12 yet, but the wine makers are all in a dither. I better watch out or this will become active2.

Things are OK. I broke my ass about five weeks ago, recovery has been moving along well.

Yes, you read that correctly, I broke my ass. To be more precise, I have a stress fracture in my left ishium.

Let's see... I am getting a foster dog for a few weeks this afternoon.

Otherwise, not much to mention.

Bump.....

I actually was going to run this morning, but decided to eat breakfast instead. Figured I'd workout at lunch time instead, but went to the Pho restaurant. Now I think I'll just go back to work and sleep at my desk.

I'm a bit too old to run any more, but a daily 3 Mi. walk before lunch or dinner revives the ol' juices and keeps me tickin' over.

I've been a real slug today...does that count?

The humidity was so high here today, the air was about the consistency of Pedro Ximenez. I don't handle high dew points well. I spent 11 years performing hard outdoor work in the swamps of coastal South Carolina. If I never see another humid day, it'll be too soon.

Inspired by Annerk, Smig, etc., this was to be the year of getting back in shape and losing weight... Well, the good news is that I have gained less than 10 lbs. I think...

Still hanging around

Love this post. It reminds myself of me during the cold months, which are long up here. Less than 4 weeks and the Sun will start heading back South. I am not happy about this at all.

I like to see the Giant Sloth that lives in the Amazon basin. It moves only 2 or so inches a day, until the wet season, where it can drop down from its vine and swim around and get busy eating a lot, just to prepare for that down time. I also feel much like a Bear as I sleep more than 16 hours a day in the cold Months.

Getting into some reasonable shape every sumer is harder still. Just bought a reel mower to replace a gas mower that needed service. It sure does take longer, with more sweating, but its also more fun. In the humid east it always means a cool shower afterward for sure.

CIH - I read your entire post, all 7 lines. I need to rest. Maybe I'll post tomorrow if I have enough energy.

After lunch I need a nap, sometimes I even take one. Though mostly I wait 'till watching a good program on PBS (a Britt drama), fall asleep half way through so on repeat it's a new challenge to see the ending. Which reminds me of my father who said after finishing a book, he could start again because he forgot the first part.

Love a good power nap at lunch. Run home, let the mutts out, grab a quick bite and set alarm for 15 minutes. Divine! Dr. M is refusing to let me be a sloth in retirement. There's already talk of daily gym, starting an art/garden tour biz, and selling excess "inventory" on eBay. No rest for this potential sloth.

Dave, pushing a manual mower in this Georgia heat and humidity would guarantee Dr. M her insurance settlement pretty fast.

I am not sure if I was ever considered active enough to now be inactive.

I am putting together my post Napa trip report. Waiting for a few more goodies to arrive for the summary pictures.

I just realized that we haven't heard from Paul S in a few moons. He hasn't posted any TNs since Apr 4

I hope everything's ok. He's the best reviewer on the site, IMHO

Anyone know ?
