Good afternoon all. Sunny day, cool this am but not bad this afternoon. Enjoying some half-caf coffee and checking out a few weekend/Cyber Monday specials that have come my way. Tempted on some wine, but thinking about it for now.

Saw the Bond movie "Spectre" at home last night via library. New to us. Not as good as Skyfall, but $1 entertainment made it good enough. Noted that "Dunkirk" on DVD out next month so added that to the wait list.

No wine at all Friday, just a bit of white last night. Tonight, still some leftover Thanksgiving white and red available.

Sunday Night Football = Packers vs. Steelers. I am a Packer Backer, but not an optimistic one against the Steelers.

Evening Cheers!

No Jesus tree for me. Potted Mango & Avocado trees taking up too much room, plus i have two buckets of fermenting Sangiovese still bubbling away in my living room.

The upcoming weekends bring holiday Champagne tastings in the area. Anybody attending things like this?

Much, much closer than it should have been. But as they say - "that's why the play the game". Fun to watch for sure.

Good win by Auburn. Complicates the playoff picture, but that is half the fun.

Morning coffee (Sumatra) then off to the repair shop. Fun.

DonTime, on the Packer game. I didn't expect Aaron Rodgers to be back for the Steelers game. So when I saw him it didn't surprise me that the score was close. That said, I kinda hoped that Rodgers would take off the rest of the season since playoffs seem unlikely and the backup guy needs some experience. Like Rodgers did when Favre was QB. They did not consult me. Oh, well.

To all, good morning. Half caf coffee after a quiet, lazy Sunday works for me. A bit of rain last night here, more later this week. We could use the rain, of course.

Looking at weekend and Cyber Monday deals, the only one I have participated in is for a local grocer. Similar to Whole Foods without that annoying pricing. $75 for $100 gift cards. Bought 2 for us, just like I did last year. Very decent deal IMHO.

Hope all have a decent Monday....

Cheers!

My bad. According to another Packer Backer, there is a second Rodgers on the team. A bit tired last night while viewing game. I still hope Aaron R the QB stays out for the season.

With the backup QB doing that well it is encouraging. Gives him a chance....and experience.

Oops Cheers!

Good morning. Last I looked, Tuesday follows Monday but precedes Wednesday and so it goes.

Buying property is not something I would do for fun.

Shopping for better interest rates is always fun...especially when you score! 3.875 instead of 4.125. Sadly I remember our last mortgage at 2.75%.

I remember 20%+ when we bought our third house in the early 1980's.

On mortgages, we did the refinance thing once which was not too much of a pain. It did reduce our total interest payments substantially and cut the duration of the loan as well. Back in the boom years of real estate in SoCal. Long, long ago.

Good morning all. Recovering from purchase of new auto yesterday with some Earl Grey tea. Now to slowly acclimate to the new vehicle. An adjustment, but my 17 yo sedan is out of my life. That is good.

Opened a rather decent PN last night. Gotta have a bit of relaxation after finally crossing a key item off my list. 2012 Lea (by Tensley) Pinot Noir, Santa Rita Hills. More left for the next few days. A good way to wine down and wind down....

Yes, this weekend our wine storage company is holding a Champagne tasting which we will be attending. We went last year and they had some pretty good ($$) stuff to try for free. Of course, that always leads to a purchase or two...

Coasting toward being off the last couple weeks of this month and a bit into the new year. <10 years to go on our mortgage, 3%, never looked worthwhile to refinance, and now I don't think it's worth it to pay it off early.
