J K,

That is indeed, NOT a tasting note but if you reports these to Eric they do get corrected.  I've done it many times.

Eric and his team are very responsive ... usually corrected within 24 hours.

Good Morning Gentlemen,

I find myself yet again glued to my desk with a hostile client shouting in my ear and I made the huge mistake of going for a log run last night.  Now I have a cold.

Grafs, great work on the MN accent posts.  I've got Jerry Lundeberg in my head from Fargo now.

Those of you with hundreds and even thousands of tasting notes put me to shame...  I will go back to my corner and drink and make notes until my liver fails or I catch up.

Yes some good stuff.
Your new mission if you should accept it, is to encourage the guests to sign up.
Right now they outnumber us 15 to 5.
This post will self destruct in .........................

By the way agree with you on the white wine virtual tasting.
I'd suggested everyone was allowed a single suggestion which would automatically be included.
You could select some from others choices as well of course.
At least that way I'd be able to find one.
Perhaps next time.

The best (most understandable) notes always come from those on the forum, you can really understand where they come from as they can explain it here.
Wish more TN submitters would post.

Or posters submit tasting notes Colonel?

On you guest mission, it would be really useful if we could see what they were reading so we could post quick notes to register - on the other hand they might feel like they're being stalked by big brother and decide to log off!

I only post TN's when I drink in a controlled situation, and I guess like you, Paul and others I'm normally out of control.

Re Big Brother I suspect he already knows all there is to know about us all ;)

Oh, no need to be so controlled. Let the imagination fly with wine! Write down anything that comes to mind! Even for Norton Privada.  Have you ever found the smell of dill in a wine???

Not that I can recall but have picked up fennel recently and also dessicated coconut!

Wouldn't it be good if we could word search the tasting notes?

Colonel - understand your policy on TN's and was only baiting!

AAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just come out of a meeting that was utterly utterly utterly a waste of 4 hours of my life.

I need a stiff drink.   BUT - I promised I would remain dry this week so I will go running tonight instead.

Hello everyone, how are we all?

Paul,  you are going to be ok, just take a deep breath and picture yourself sitting by a fire with a glass of '82 Lafite in your hand...

CG - no no no no - that is the problem.   I ALWAYS imagine myself relaxing with a nice glass of wine.  I need to imagine myself relaxing by running and being healthy.  It is the only way I will ever fit back into my old suits.

Paul,

You must work for the London branch of the company I ussed to work for.  So bloated with management who felt the need to constantly order meetings and reports in a feeble attempt to justify their existance that it's amazing anyone ever got any real work done.

OK, go out for a long run THEN come back, have a nice glass of wine then a multi-course meal at your favorite restaurant.  You owe it to yourself...it has been hard day.

CG - you really are a lousy doctor aren't you!!!!   So basically your medical advice for dealing with stress is

1.  Dont go running
2.  Drink more booze
3.  Eat lots of food

I actually work with some rocket scientists and trust me, they are not smart people.

This is the bunch of UK rocket scientists who created a robot to land on Mars - and instead it flew all the way to Mars and then just plummeted to the ground.  15 years of work obliterated in seconds.  Top work fellas.

So, the lesson of the day - rocket scientists are not smart.

In the US we call it job security.  See, now they need a new one...

The smartest person I've ever met in my life turned down all sorts of scholarships from Ivy League schools and works as a carpenter making the most amazing custom woodwork you've ever seen, because that's what he loves to do.

I've heard that his IQ is over 140, and while I don't know it as fact, it wouldn't surprise me.

Here is a link to the UK mars mission

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/sci/tech/3741989.stm

Just looking at the head guy you could tell the mission was bound to fail.  I can't imagine him getting a job at NASA

I'm going to tell my wife you told her that she is not smart.  Believe me, next time we're in London, she'll find you and kick your arse (after she gets you drunk on some nice Bordeaux).  BTW, she's also a runner so it is unlikely you'll be able to outrun her.
