Piollot Comte de Tallante zero dosage NV. This has been our house champagne this season, and I love it.

Also a Piollot this weekend.
2012 Piollot Champagne Champes Rayés Brut Nature

Good value and I won’t hesitate if offered again

Pierre Gimonnet & Fils Champagne Premier Cru Blanc de Blancs Brut Cuis - I very much like the Gimonnet Champagnes pretty much across the board.

Taking a 2004 Perrier-Jouët Champagne Cuvée Fleur de Champagne tonight to dinner with some other French type stuff.

God, I love bubbles.

Had a NV Drappier Carte d"Or Champagne. I dunno. It was good, nice fruit, good weight, but simple. A touch too much vinous apple and strong acid (in a bad way) for me. I like a more leesy champagne and maybe it needed just a touch more dosage. Might of been the 2011 base tho.. I've heard some bad things about champagnes with 2011 base.

We served Gloria Ferrer Brut NV to our guests on Saturday. What a splendid QPR on that one! Hard to beat for the money.

Totally agree with Gloria Ferrer. Another value sparkler that I just discovered that WAY over delivers is Domaine St Vincent Rose (made by Gruet). At $10/btl, its hard to not like it.

Popped a Colcombet NV Brut Eclat, tastey stuff but prefer the Sabre still.

Bookended the weekend with a 2013 Immich-Anker Enkircher Zeppwingert Riesling Sekt Brut on Friday night and a 2006 Pol Roger today. The PR is tremendously delicious, benefitting from the bigger bowl of my GGG stem and the setting of a gorgeous SoCal afternoon by the pool with some Paul Hardcastle and DJ Yossarian on the outdoor stereo.

“Slumming it” in anticipation of next weekends festivities: NV Gruet Winery Chardonnay Blanc de Blancs Sauvage. This one was a little over the hill, but still acceptable.
I predict that next HSS! will have some nice news to report

And toting along for the party are a 2007 Ayala Blanc de Blancs and 2005 Bollinger La Grande Année

NV Roederer Estate Brut Anderson Valley

Even at $18, not so sure I will be rebuying this with so many other options in that price range. It seems as though much of the cost is spent on the lovely bottle.
I love the vintage Roederer Estate L'Ermitage Brut at roughly 3x the price, so it reinforces my life’s dilemma: a prince’s taste with a pauper’s purse.

2013 A. R. Lenoble Grand Cru Blanc de Blancs Brut

I’m sure this is really a NV, or rather a MV, but it was bottled early 2014. Fantastic tang of tartness and a sweet hint of creamy fruit.

L'Hermitage is usually $40, where are you seeing it for 3x the NV price?

You're right.... it's more like 2X for the L'Ermitage from most retailers. Restaurant markup = another story ;)
