On Friday I received the sad news that the distributor here of the Lallier Grand Cru Brut Rosé, which has been my house champagne for the past year, would not be getting any more stock in. So my girlfriend (who is particularly fond of it) and I quickly grabbed 6 different pink fizzes at the same US$35-40 price level and had an extended tasting session over the weekend to see if we could find an acceptable alternative to move on to. Sadly we could not, so now, knowing that my supplier has 120 bottles in HK and will get no more, we have to decide how many to buy (at the bargain price, it seems to me, of HK$290 (US$37)). Given that I only have a fridge capacity of about 150-160 this is a bit of an issue. Today, Monday, being a holiday (Buddha's Birthday) I have to place my order tomorrow. Decisions, decisions...
