Maison Foucher Cremant de Loire Cuve Reys de Naples. Enjoyable but the rest need cellar time. Great qpr though.

2009 Larmandier-Bernier Terre de Vertus Premier Cru

Wonderfully dry and crisp but full of flavor. Seems to me like 2009 is certainly worth the declaration

9-yr old Cava, shared with 3 other people and we were all very impressed

2009 Pere Mata L’Origen Gran Reserva Brut Nature
2009 Pere Mata L’Origen Gran Reserva Brut Nature (+ small dosage)
2009 Pere Mata L’Origen Gran Reserva Brut Nature (+ must)

It was very interesting and fun to learn what can be done with the ol' Macabeo-Xarel-lo-Parellada. These examples have a few more years of life to give and I would rebuy if offered.

On topic of Cava, read yesterday that Cordoniu recently sold to a VC firm. A few bloggers are now lamenting the impact on well-priced sparkling from Spain. Time will tell.

It’s already Saturday in more than half the world, plus it doubles as FFP:
2013 Barrat-Masson Fleur de Craie

Worth every bit of the $40 or so paid

2009 Guiborat Fils Grand Cru Blanc de Blancs Extra-Brut

When the term “baby-killing” is used in wine parlance, it’s rarely mentioned that babies can be delicious

This wine has a lovely future ahead, in my humble opining

My favorite American sparkler, though I haven’t tried that many. Open to suggestions: Ultramarine (?), et al?

2008 Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin Brut

I suppose it's a "must-try" for vintage Champers fans, but I don't think I'll be seeking out more than what I have. Struck me as too generic

NV Laherte Frères Champagne Grand Brut Ultradition

With football and king crab and mac & cheese last evening, mostly pinot menieur, quite dry and refreshing with that red-grape extra body. When it warmed up in the glass the red fruit came out and it leaned towards rose Coteaux Champenois, really nice. Purchased 5 years ago, so while no disgorgement date, it's been aged a bit.

Yup, it's a good one and it was reasonably priced here in Ontario. I've gone through 11 of my case of 12. Hoping we see it here again sometime, but knowing the KGBO it's unlikely.

We have oysters on Thursday when we're in Idaho and the seafood guy is in town so it's normally a Sparkling Thursday for us, although it does feel like a Saturday after we've finished the sparkling.

I didn't make a note of the Schram because it was a party bottle, but it was excellent with what seems like a long life ahead or it

Somebody’s gotta do it

NV Olivier Morin Crémant de Bourgogne Brut "Tentation"
pretty good for $18

Excellent. At 3X the price of the Crémant, more than worth it

Wasn't a huge fan of this.

Enjoyed this much more and I think half the cost.
