As you should be. One thing you can tell about you from your Top 10 is that you're a Berserker.

Just one question: How do you manage to keep enough Bedrock around to rank in the Top 10, let along #2? It drinks so well with only a few years rack time. I mean, I understand Ridge and some Felsina (they're one of my favorite Italian producers too) because it takes a while to properly age, but Bedrock? You must buy LOADS of it!

This exercise confirms that I need to broaden more -- I am very deep on Cayuse. So a big drop from Number 1 to Number 2:

Cayuse
Ceritas
Horsepower (which really should be up with Cayuse.....)
Kerloo
Rasa
Paetra
Domaine Vieux Telegraphe
E Guigal
Sociando Mallet
Andrew Will (which is tied with Roti, JJ Prum, and Maison Bleue)

Well my cellar is deceiving, I have right around 1000 bottles but in those bottles I have 347 different producers (variety is the spice of life imho and it keeps me from getting bored) so my top producers only have around 30 bottles. I stopped buying deep on any producers many years ago. So maybe not as Berserk as you might think

Rhys (hadn't realized until now that they moved into first spot with the most recent order)
Arcadian
Rochioli
Schrader
JJ Prum
Boislauzon
Cayuse
Myrat
Dirty & Rowdy
Carl Loewen

The Myrat and Loewen are both on that list strictly by virtue of case+ purchases of one particular wine; all others are listed pursuant to a selection of different bottlings.

14 months later: (^ = moved up; / = moved down; * = new appearance)
Rhys
Arcadian
Rochioli
JJ Prum ^
Schrader /
Guiberteau * ^
Boislauzon /
Cayuse /
Myrat /
Carl Loewen

Dropped off: Dirty & Rowdy /

By next year Myrat should be off the list, replaced by Grand Puy Lacoste, if I know myself well.

My cellar is fairly diverse with wines from 15 countries, 52 regions and 72 different varietels of wine..

However, you wouldn't be able to tell from my top 10 producers - which are all CA or WA based.
Probably because these are all from mailings lists (current or previous), but not the majority of my purchases.

However, it looks like I need to get more diverse among my top producers.

There are a few of those which surprised me as I hadn’t purchased them for quite some time and they will decline over the coming years while producers such as Penfolds, Clonakilla, Passopisciaro and Dominio Pingus (sadly just Psi and Flor) are annual acquisitions before checking in to The Moratorium...

4. Clos Rougeard
5. Jamet
6. Mugneret Gibourg

It makes sense that Virginia wines make up the majority (31.9%) of the list since I previously lived in DC and often visited the wineries of the area. It appears that about 50% of my collection is VA and CA wines which also makes sense due to several trips to CA. As I've gotten older, not necessarily wiser, I've broadened my horizons, though US wines still account for 83% of the total collection:

USA 83.2%
Canada 7.6%
France 5.7%
Italy 1.2%
South Africa 0.9%
