No real change from last year, other than pipeline filling up.

Goat Rocks ~3000 with harvest of about 2/3 that much more a few weeks away.

Five years later and no longer counting Goat Rocks bottles. There are still plenty of those around.

Cellar similar but with a bit of new blood, I went 12 deep since Weathereye I have a bunch of pending and I expect to add some Turley soon.

It's been a busy summer of buying wine, but here's where I sit today:

Laetitia 12.1% (used to be in their club and still have many bottles of PN)
RdV 9.9% (well stocked going back to their 2009 vintage)
Le Cuvier 9.4% (also used to be in their club, this number will start to dwindle)
Quilceda Creek 4.6%
...

Hi, Ryan. Glad to see someone else who owns RdV. I still have one each from 2008 of the "Lost Mountain" and Rendezvous. They both probably should have already been drunk by now, but recently had the '09 Rendezvous and it was singing!!

By bottle count, this is everything over 10 bottles in inventory:

CT Barrel Project 12.7%
Maison Ilan 4.0% (yes, I admit it)
Joh. Jos. Prüm 3.8%
Domaine Huet 3.3%
McPrice Myers 3.1%
Chateau Margene 2.6%
Gérard Boulay 2.0%
Maison Harbour 1.8%
Domaine de Chevalier 1.5%
Sandler Wine Company 1.3%
Mooney Family 1.1%
Fattoria di Fèlsina Berardenga 1.0%

Certainly a lot of change on that list over 6 years, but the big conundrum for me is whether to consider de Negoce a producer. It really isn't, but it's the #1 name in my cellar now.

de Négoce 22.5%

Tercero 4.2%
Domaine Huet 3.4%
Goodfellow Family Cellars 3.4%
Sandler Wine Company 2.7%
Gérard Boulay 2.5%
Rasa Vineyards 2.4%
Joh. Jos. Prüm 2.1%
Rhys 1.8%
Extradimensional Wine Co. Yeah! 1.5%
Delmas 1.5%

And since 10 is just an arbitrary number anyway-
Domaine de L'Idylle 1.3%
DuPuis 1.1%
Elena Fucci 1.0%
Domaine de la Cotelleraie 1.0%
Domaine Bernard Baudry 1.0%
WeatherEye Vineyards 1.0%
Domaine de Chevalier 1.0%
San Felo 1.0%

That's everything over 1%, which also coincides with everything over 12 bottles... what a coinkydink

Relatively small cellar here, so don't go thinking that the large numbers represent hundreds of bottles or anything like that. These are all the producers I have 4+ bottles from:

Tercero 17.9%
Croma Vera 12.1% (just bought a bunch at a tasting room moving sale, including some Christmas presents...shh)
Sabelli-Frisch 3.1%
Guido Porro 2.3%
Domaine de Saint-Guirons 2.3%
Fattoria di Fèlsina Berardenga 1.9%
Lagier Meredith 1.6%
Antonio Vallana e Figlio 1.6%
Field Stone 1.6%
Domaine Felettig 1.6%
Vietti 1.6%
Domaine de la Taille aux Loups 1.6%
Château d'Issan 1.6%
Château Lilian Ladouys 1.6%
Château Laroque 1.6%

I picked my top 12 (drew the line at a 25 bottle minimum)

Chateau Montelena Estate 2.5% Bottles (45)
Sottimano 2.3% Bottles (41)
Château Pontet-Canet 2.1% Bottles (38)
Domaine de Chevalier 1.9% Bottles (35)
Cavallotto 1.9% Bottles (35)
Le Vieux Donjon 1.8% Bottles (33)
Château Grand-Puy-Lacoste 1.8% Bottles (32)
Château Lilian Ladouys 1.6% Bottles (28)
Domaine Charvin 1.4% Bottles (26)
Goodfellow Family Cellars 1.4% Bottles (26)
Château de Beaucastel 1.4% Bottles (26)
Château Malescot St. Exupéry 1.4% (25)

Sottimano, Cavallotto, and Goodfellow include bottlings from several vineyards but the rest are all just the main estate. I was expecting a higher concentration of Bordeaux on the list since my cellar is:

Bordeaux 45.1%
California 14.2%
Piedmont 8.1%
Rhône 7.6%
Burgundy 5.8%
Champagne 4.2%
Oregon 3.9%

My list includes 3 producers from a recent visit to the region of Toul in France (Régina, Migot, Laroppe)
I stocked up on some daily drinkers on the occasion so unlikely they will become permanent residents on the list

Domaine Régina 4,39%
Domaine Saint Sylvestre 3,73%
La Rioja Alta 3,29%
Domaine Migot 3,07%
Tissot (Bénédicte et Stéphane / André et Mireille) 2,41%
Danjou-Banessy 2,41%
Tenuta Foresta 2,19%
Vincent Laroppe 1,75%
Marqués de Murrieta 1,75%

I have not seen Chandon de Briailles in the Chicago market and it doesn't even show up in any search results for the retailers I use. It doesn't help that despite the supreme court ruling that Illinois still has in place archiac anti-consumer shipping laws designed to protect the local distributors.

Interesting that the top 10 producers represent 20.7% of my total cellar.

I wonder what % of the total cellar the top 10 represents for others...

IIRC you only started buying Vincent maybe about a year ago? Man you must have fell hard for them!

I really like Vincent wines. They are top two or three Oregon Producers. I like Goodfellow too. Vincent seems to have a lot of discounts too. When they discount the library wines I’m going to buy. So yes, Big fan.
