Mine is constantly changing because my cellar isn't very big (300 bottles).

Kobalt 10.9%
Denner 8.7%
Quivet 6.2%
Outpost 5.1%
Reynvaan 4.0%
Big Basin 3.6%
Carlisle 3.6%
Dunn 3.3%
Kanzler 2.9%
Merry Edwards 2.5%

How did those Pinots break into the top 10???

Rick

5 years later & Cellar almost 800 bottles:

Domaine Bertheau 3.8%
Vincent 3.3%
Lopez de Heredia 2.9%
Ch. Clos de L’Oratoire 2.7%
Ch. Laroque 2.4%
Ch. Monbousquet 2.3%
Kobalt 2.2%
Ch. Malescot St Exupery 2.0%
Tenuta di Arceno 2.0%
Ch. Corbin 2.0%

IIRC you only started buying Vincent maybe about a year ago? Man you must have fell hard for them!

I really like Vincent wines. They are top two or three Oregon Producers. I like Goodfellow too. Vincent seems to have a lot of discounts too. When they discount the library wines I’m going to buy. So yes, Big fan.

Yes, Vincent is great and often the pricing seems crazy low for the quality.

Rhys (hadn't realized until now that they moved into first spot with the most recent order)
Arcadian
Rochioli
Schrader
JJ Prum
Boislauzon
Cayuse
Myrat
Dirty & Rowdy
Carl Loewen

The Myrat and Loewen are both on that list strictly by virtue of case+ purchases of one particular wine; all others are listed pursuant to a selection of different bottlings.

14 months later: (^ = moved up; / = moved down; * = new appearance)
Rhys
Arcadian
Rochioli
JJ Prum ^
Schrader /
Guiberteau * ^
Boislauzon /
Cayuse /
Myrat /
Carl Loewen

Dropped off: Dirty & Rowdy /

By next year Myrat should be off the list, replaced by Grand Puy Lacoste, if I know myself well.

Jumping ahead 5 years now:
Rhys (8.9%)
Arcadian (6.4%)
Cayuse (4.0%)
Baudry (3.7%)
Guiberteau (3.7%)
Domaine du Bel Air (3.5%)
Halcon (3.1%)
JJ Prum (3.1%)
Leoville Barton (1.5%)
Carl Loewen (1.2%)

Was curious about who my top producers were (of my existing inventory).
My cellar has 182 producers, but my top 10 account for 25% of my cellar.
The top 10 included 7 from Washington, 2 from California and 1 from Oregon.

Hard Row to Hoe 4.4% Bottles (46) / Pending (6)
Betz Family 3.4% Bottles (41)
Virage Vineyards 3.4% Bottles (40)
Cultura 3.1% Bottles (31) / Pending (6)
St. Innocent 2.3% Bottles (28)
The Walls Vineyards 2.3% Bottles (27)
Quivet Cellars 2.2% Bottles (22) / Pending (4)
Secret Squirrel 2.1% Bottles (25)
Spring Valley Vineyard 2.1% Bottles (25)
CT Barrel Project 2.0% Bottles (6) / Pending (18)

I noticed this 6 year old post, and that made me wonder how my top 10 has changed.

My cellar is larger now, but comprised of only 93 different producers.
The top 10 account for over 50% of my cellar.
Only 2 producers from the 2017 list are on the 2023 list.

Tero Estates 9.2% Bottles (108) (Note: Tero no longer exists)
Fidelitas 7.0% Bottles (78) / pending(4)
Col Solare 5.3% Bottles (62)
Quilceda Creek 5.2% Bottles (59) / Pending (2)
Patricia Green Cellars 5.0% Bottles (59)
The Walls Vineyards 4.8% Bottles (56)
Betz Family 4.4% Bottles (52)
Horsepower Vineyards 4.4% Bottles (51)
Leonetti Cellar 4.0% Bottles (47)
Mark Ryan 3.6% Bottles (42)

Seems the largest change in my cellar over the last couple of years is Germany overtaking the US.

Dom Perignon
Krug
Bernard Bonin
Dauvissat
Louis Roederer
Jerome Prevost
Salon
Weingut Keller
Domaine Roulot
Kilburg

France 84.5%
Germany 6.0%
USA 4.9%
Italy 3.8%

Always interesting to see the evolution.
Having a wine business, my personal cellar reflects some of the producers I fell in love with.
Also way more Canadian wine than I ever thought I would have... and some are approaching 20 years of age and still showing well.
I never would have expected this 20 years ago.

Top 10:
Bodegas Bhilar, Rioja, Spain
Pearl Morissette Estate Winery, NOTL, Ontario, Canada
Maximin Grunhaus / Von Schubert, Ruwer, Germany
Culmina Family Estate Winery, BC, Canada
LMT Wines (Luis Moya Tortosa), Navarra, Spain
Château Lagrange (St. Julien), France
Pago Aylés, Aragon, Spain
Château d'Armailhac, France
Osoyoos Larose, BC, Canada
Château Gruaud Larose, France

Only change is that Kongsgaard replaced E. Guigal in the #10 spot because I bought a bunch of 2021 chards and drank all my Guigal Condrieu.
