I've been in Scotland for the last week, so my wine consumption is way down. This place is beer and spirits dominated. The good news is that I've been able to spend some time with people from Brewdog. These are good, but I'm missing my red wine.

I drink DAB (Dortmunder Actien Brauerei) Pilsner when I can find it. It's delicious, light, with a clean finish.

I just had a bottle of Hana Pilsner Style Lager from Hanabi Lager Co. It's notable on several fronts:

1. The owner of Hanabi is the winemaker for Screaming Eagle.
2. It's probably the most I've ever spent on a Pilsner ($15/bottle, direct from the brewery).
3. It's unquestionably the best Pilsner I've ever had.

In addition to the Hana Pilsner, I bought some of their Autumn/Winter '22 Chevallier Helles and Spring '23 Admiral Pilsner (named for Admiral Maltings, the only malter in California doing floor-malting), which I'll be trying over the next couple of days.

I blame thesternowl for giving me the heads up on this one.

Tecate 0.0 % Alcohol. Going bone dry all April and I am not fond of soda, so my choice is alcohol free beer that tastes like crap.....

Ha! I was just thinking that having to replace Bud light with another beer on the menu - the only way is up.

I started a dry month on St Patrick's Day (got a bit stupid the day before) - I've quite enjoyed Guinness 0 lately.

I bought a few IPAs from the Maine Beer Co. Lunch and Thank You. They tend to be a tiny bit sour, fruity noses, maybe a little hoppy, and with a really satiny palate. Ideal for warm weather.

I am most decidedly not a beer person anymore, but I do have one or two when it is hot like it was today 85+. I had two from a local place Bellevue Brewery. The Der Kommissar - German Pilsner and a Vacuna Mexican Lager. Hit the spot.

89 in Seattle sounds awful. Hopefully everyone has a good fan and a cold brew.

It's hot, 90f in Birmingham, AL, but had to have a Young's Double Chocolate stout.

Bell's Two-Hearted Ale - saw this for the first time locally and picked up a six-pack. That's pretty tasty.

That's a tasty choice, for sure.

Currently sipping on a Brick & Feather In Absentia IPA. Not too shabby.

Anyone else here on Untappd? If so, look me up... over there I'm, and this will seem crazy, but... "Recotte".

Agreed - all-around excellent. I love to find this one on tap, as well.

I consider it one of America's great readily available beers. Not quite as excellent as my favorite Vermont IPAs but always happy to see it. I just bought some in Montana last week.

I have to agree with this too - love them. I haven't paid much attention lately, but in the pre-Covid years there were times when a new microbrewery was opening every 12 hours in the U.S. I ran across dynamite stuff from unexpected places, like Alaska (Anchorage Brewing Company) and Utah (Uinta Brewing Company). Always glad to see things like Green Flash from California and Goose Island from Illlinois. To me, Bell's Two-Hearted Ale tastes like a nice IPA mixed with some other beer that I'd like to try on its own.

Last night I drank "Sweet Baby Jesus." It's a peanut butter chocolate beer. It was interesting to say the least.

Brooklyn Brewery Pumpkin - 4% ABV. Has some pumpkin notes on the nose and palate. Light bodied. I have another one with 8%AbV that I’ll try tomorrow.

Amalgamator by Beachwood (Huntington beach micro brew)

It's a crisp west coast IPA (it's clear and not sappy/thick, I am not a fan of the hazy)

It's like the blind pig (russian river beer co), but I think it's better. It's the ticket

Nice to see Bell's beer distributed. We have plenty of their beer here in the Chicago area, and Two-Hearted Ale is a solid old school style of IPA in my book.

In my beer fridge I have some Ayinger Oktoberfest, Hinterland (Green Bay) Oktoberfest styled beer, some Saison DuPont, Central Waters Mudpuppy Porter and Karben4 Fantasy Factory IPA. Also some assorted New Glarus lambic beers and some Odell IPA I can't remember...St Lupin?
