The wineglass icon next to any wine has all the commands you would want right there, and even has a friendlier "loading" status for the second or two it takes to load the very first time I use it.

That is the coolest little feature that will save me lots of clicking! Thank you.

Hey Eric -- any update on when the new non-fixed templates get released?   Very much looking forward to that.

Craig, I have the changes about 99.9% done, but I decided to wait to also include some other design changes around the user interface for entering the pivoted/summary view, toggling the right-hand panel etc. I am rather confident I will have this all online in about 2-3 weeks. (I am in Bordeaux for a week starting this Wednesday, so I am not sure how much coding I will be doing then.)

I just got the updates ( and a load of iPad cleanup fixes too) from my web developer. Alas I am in Bordeaux for the week so not sure how much coding/integration I will get in right away.

Billy, I wish I knew why or how to contest it, but you should probably thank your stars that for now CellarTracker is not blocked.

I can answer probably both questions. The grape stories site has been classified by at least one proxy filtering service as "alcohol" so the DoD and many companies block access to that category in all liklihood. Cellartracker was listed as "business/economy" so that is probably allowed. The link below allows you to check out URLs and also to request changes. A word of caution in that if you say, "but cellartracker works" then it might get booted from biz/econ into booze... There are a few different companies that do these kinds of services, but the big two are Bluecoat (link below) and Websense.

Is the "fluid width view" still a work in progress or is there some knob or dial I missed to make it work?

Mark, I have just been bogged down with a billion other things. This Friday or over the weekend I will be pushing out some updates to CT and GS (4 or 5 new content channels) that I have been spending a ton of time on.

Once that is out of my hair I will be digging back in for a huge push on GS. First up are the fluid widths changes which are 90% done and deployed in a hidden way. I also have changes to the way that the grouped/pivoted reports are accessed (more like CT with a summarize by dropdown) and simplifying the view state stuff (just on/off toggle of the right-hand pane). To clean up the display in the MY CELLAR view the links that let you toggle to purchases and consumed and drinkability will instead be folded into a dropdown keying off the name of the report. All told it should be a nice cleanup and simplification of the navigation user interface. That is all first up, and then I will start hammering down the list of todo items. I will also soon be kicking off development work on the GS Mobile site -- I have designs and stylesheets and templates in hand. My hope is to launch that towards the end of the year. Same for finishing up all the GS loose ends. Then assuming people are feeling a bit happier with all of the direction I will target a migration date to bring the old CT and new GS sites together into one site. Likely Q1. But it all depends upon how people are feeling.

Quick question.  In the "My Recent Wines" section on the front page, when I click "More" I get a raw list of edits with no underlying info about the wine involved, etc.  Is there a way I can bulk up the info on that list so I can find and access the particular recent edit I'm looking for?  Many thanks.

Not easily. That is how this view has always been for the past 8 years. Sorry. I may upgrade it someday.
