It is my perfect idea of sangiovese, dry earth and herbs. The tannic structure has softened just enough to balance nicely with the fruit and give it a long finish. Honestly, this was one of the best bottles I have had recently. I liked it better than the 2007 Vieux de telegraph the previous night...totally different I know, but this was super enjoyable and pair well with dinner. |

Then it takes on the characteristics one expects from the langdoc. Dry herbaceous notes but this is not a big wine. 12% and so made for food. What came to mind immediately was med rare leg of lamb with garlic and rosemary. The richness of the drippings would be cut by the lean dry character of this wine. Well done. |
