A bit closed to start with, but over time it showed nice features of dark cassis fruit, tobacco, leather and a lingering, refreshing and elegant finish. Too bad this was the last bottle. 92 for now, but with potential for a higher score.

1/15/2024 6:03:00 AM - @Decanting Queen: It was decanted for 2–3 h before dinner. CV´s Riserva is probably among the most long-lived wines produced in Chianti Classico. I tasted some old vintages a few years ago when visiting the producer – 1985 and 1996 among others – and they were all amazing and in good shape.
