1/15/24, 6:03 AM - @Decanting Queen: It was decanted for 2–3 h before dinner. CV´s Riserva is probably among the most long-lived wines produced in Chianti Classico. I tasted some old vintages a few years ago when visiting the producer – 1985 and 1996 among others – and they were all amazing and in good shape.
1/26/21, 11:05 PM - @srh. Yes, it was decanted and aired for about 1 h. Opened up a bit over the 2–3 h it was consumed, but did not change in character that much. Was paired with a variety of small dishes.
1/10/21, 3:05 AM - In a very nice phase now, but no hurry to drink up. It will most probably develop nicely, but hard to say if it will become better or just different.
10/27/19, 4:46 PM - Maybe...but I did not find the material in the wine to be very exciting. Hope that time will prove me wrong. Btw, usually one of my favourite producers of affordable Barbarescos....
