3/15/2024 - Zingrrl Likes this wine: 88 pointsFloral on the nose. Bit of violet backed up by charcoal. Started sharp with a monolithic bite but after 30 minutes in the glass it really opened up. Weirdly pleasant almost sour milk note, bitter dark chocolate, medium finish. |

12/24/2023 - Zingrrl Likes this wine: 90 pointsMuch better than last time. No detailed notes but the wine has left its very awkward stage from my last tasting. Still a slight sharpness to it but the fruit bomb is gone. Good finish. |

8/20/2023 - Zingrrl wrote: 93 pointsStellar. Sorry, drank this several days ago and did not take notes at the time. This is from memory. I do believe it is past peak however still an incredible wine. Smooth, nuanced (flavor, backbone, and yes...there is a hint of vinegar as another reviewer commented, but it is so tiny that it adds to the complexity). Sad this was my last bottle. I would drink now. |

11/15/2022 - Zingrrl wrote: 91 pointsThis was quite the experience. Started horrible. Cork top half came out...my fault for not using my ah-so. Managed to get the bottom half out with said ah-so. Whew. OK, smell was great but first taste was monolithic wall of slightly off dark cherry. But after about an hour in the glass, this turned into a fantastic wine. Integrated tannins, same dark fruit but with some complexity, and a long smooth finish. When opening, suggest patience. |

10/24/2022 - Zingrrl Likes this wine: 86 pointsI think this is done. My last bottle anyway. Fruit and structure still there but getting a vegetative/funky note that for the moment is ok - just seems poised to overpower the wine. |

9/19/2021 - Zingrrl Likes this wine: 93 pointsSpectacular. Raspberry and a bit of pleasant char on the nose. The wine actually had a bit of zing but very flavorful and smooth. Very fine sediment. I have three bottles remaining and will drink over the next year or two. |

4/3/2021 - Zingrrl wrote: 95 pointsJust a classic cab at its beautiful end. Nose of pencil, faint iodine, char, a little dark fruit. Smooth taste, just light and effortless. Integrated fruit and tannins with a medium finish. I think these won't get any better. It was my last one and I have to say I'm sad about that. |

12/25/2020 - Zingrrl Likes this wine: 90 pointsThis wine is definitely peaked. Stewed red fruits and pencil lead on the nose. Smooth with tannins resolved; a streak of cherry on the mid palette. Medium finish. I don't think it will improve. |

5/31/2020 - Zingrrl Likes this wine: 93 pointsI wish I had more. Cork slid out easily using an ah-so. I was a bit concerned although there was no depression showing under the capsule. Immediate smack in the face of crushed blueberries. Strained right into shiraz stems with no decant. Started a bit acidic and then had brushes of tar. Followed by tart cranberry combined with balsamic reduction. I hope this makes sense. Excellent finish. Really sorry to be out of these. |

4/14/2020 - Zingrrl Likes this wine: 91 pointsSuper wine. Smooth with incredible nose of dried dark and red fruit and spices. Velvety in the mouth. Dried fruit with perfect structure followed by spices. Clove was the most predominant to me, and not in a bad way at all. This is a good drop and I'm surprised there is not more of it in cellars. g. Cuneo is a Walla Walla gem. |

3/24/2020 - Zingrrl Likes this wine: 88 pointsDrank over two nights. Good, even great, but not outstanding. I wanted more based on the Reininger name. Pleasant nose of berry and a bit of charcoal that quickly disappeared. First night too tart. Second was a bit more integrated. Dark, pleasantly sour cherry. Medium finish. I probably should have held it another year or two. |

3/22/2020 - Zingrrl Likes this wine: 92 pointsDrank over two nights. Opened with immediate charcoal that was quickly eclipsed by black and blueberries with a little funk. Beautiful dark fruit and gentle sweet tannic structure with a long finish. This is a gorgeous wine with a long life ahead of it. We opened one to see how it was progressing and now will struggle to keeps our hands off the others. |
