Looks to me the wine is in the best period. At least this bottle tasted much better than the other two I had in the past months.
Round & silky classic rioja, but w/o the strong wood that sometimes cover everything else. In this Reserva was "just right" for my taste.
Medium body with long finish. Poured in a decanter and served at 15°C with some grilled lamb...a perfect match.

Great Quality for price this Sagrantino Montefalco! Straight from Umbria, which is one of the most beautiful regions in Italy and less known than Tuscany, the Sagrantino is something you want to try if you like straightforward reds w/o wood to match beef and cheese.

I noticed unusual variance in CT score for this wine, so I opened my bottle with some concerns. Poured in a decanter an hour before drinking was surprisingly young for being a 10 years old Rioja Gran Reserva.
Good acidity, solid classic Rioja Style but with less wood than expected. Best if drunk few hours after opening, as the day after the wine had lost it's brilliance.

Consistent quality, with round taste of blackberries and cherry. It's a nice blend of Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon and Tempranillo with full body and great acidity, which encourage to pour yet another glass.
Despite the grapes used, it looks a bit on the sweet side (still for being a dry red) so it could match some spicy dishes, like "spaghetti aglio olio" or "cacio e pepe"

A bit oxidized at first, but after the second glass it was better. Maybe needed some air before drinking.
the wine is well balanced, with an hint of oak that is not common on whites I usually drink. smooth and silky on the palate, but without character for me. I could not really get a flavor to remember.

Nice balanced Riesling from Washington State. Good acidity and almost creamy consistency on the palate. However I was expecting it to be drier and appeared a little bit too sweet for my taste.

Peach, mushrooms and musk scents. Nutty and creamy on the palate, with medium finish. A nice Malvasia with behave well with pasta and pesto alla genovese

Simple and easy to drink, my first wine from Georgia (no, not the US state :-)). Good acidity which invites you to pour glass after glass, at some point resembled to me like a Barbera d'Alba, for his character and spicy taste.
There are much better wines in the world, but if you stop by a Russian Duty Free and wants to impress friends with something unusual, this is a nice wine to bring home with good QPR at 11€

Poured and decanted. Completely different from one day to another. First day was a disappointing experience with plenty of grass smell covering almost everything else, confirmed in the mouth. After a night in the decanter the wine opened up and became more balanced, but still not particularly memorable. Just nice.

Needs time to open, as the first sip doesn't really give justice. The second day you can appreciate the full body Sangiovese, with resolved tannins and medium/long finish. Some scent of herbs and spices can appear while drinking. Strong and powerful with his 14.5 alcoholic percentage.

Dark ruby color, strong nose of dark berries and oak. Legs confirm the alcohol you have in the glass. On the palate, medium strong body with a hint of tobacco which appears at the first sip to leave immediately after space to a more complex set of flavors, including some smokiness.
Medium finish and soft tannins.
Overall a good wine, but not something which sticks to your memory for too long.

Serve chilled, and you will enjoy a fresh wine to pair with cold pasta dishes, mediterranean cuisine summer dishes and seafood.
Nice smell of raspberry and strawberry on the nose, but surprisingly dry on the palate.
Better if drank on a terrace ��

This is a supercharged "Gutturnio" (Barbera and Bonarda blend), normally an easy to drink, light body red wine to drink with cured meat and sausages, but with "Macchiona" becomes a stronger and more complex red.

Needs plenty of time and air to develop after opening the bottle. At first strongly smells like petrol which the next day becomes more subtle but still present. when you drink it, the flavors of dark berries, cherry and oak are fighting against each other in your mouth. Again it's much better the second day.

Very long finish and high tannins that require some fat food (typical of the "Colli Piacentini" region) to better enjoy this wine.

The 2005 vintage has been very hot while 2006, which I've in my cellar and not tried yet, has been colder which should have produced even higher tannins! Yke!

The wine looks ruby colored. The legs are slow. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like red currant, grapefruit, mineral, light toast, black pepper and bell pepper. It tastes like mineral, stoniness, artichoke, bell pepper and alcohol/hot. The body is medium. The wine has leathery texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has high acidity.

It has been a great discovery and is now one of my favorites. Will keep Always a few bottles in my cellar of Maldafrica!

E' un Lambrusco, e come tale va giudicato con parametri diversi dagli altri vini e bisogna sapere cosa ci si aspetta.
Non sono particolarmente un patito del genere, ma non disprezzo le buone bollicine rosse quando sono di un buon Gutturnio Frizzante dei Colli Piacentini.
Anche questo Lambrusco delle colline di Parma però si fa apprezzare. è secco, ma comunque ti lascia la bocca dolce e con molti aromi di fragola e ribes. Un filo di amarognolo rimane alla fine anche se di sapore in bocca, bicchiere dopo bicchiere, ne rimane poco. Meglio freddo e accompagnato con del buon salume delle nostre zone.

Si vanta di essere il miglio bollicine rosso al mondo del 2013...ma francamente c'è di molto, molto meglio a chi piace il genere.

Colore rosso rubino. Profumi di peperone verde, terra, pepe Nero, minerali. In boccia sentore di agrumi e bacche rosse con acidità e tannini medi. Persistenza media.
Una buona conferma e certamente tra i miei preferiti per accompagnare piatti mediterranei. Versatile sia con il roastbeef che con i bastoncini di pesce f...s !
