It's slightly closed at first, but opens up nicely in the glass with notes of sweet red berries, leather, smoke, some fig and dried cherries. Medium bodied, super traditional but showing the warmth if the vintage with (only) medium+ acidity and medium+ tannin. Good length. A very traditional Chianti Classico. Like it. |

Very nicely balanced – ripe fruit, yet firm structure. Has a fresh feel to it that makes it a very versatile food companion. A little too pricy to compete for the coveted position of “house red”, but $35 is still very reasonable considering the quality on offer. Should continue to drink well for at least another five years, and possibly even improve further over the next two to three (90-91 points). |

Mature fruit and tertiary flavors, hints of leather and herbs. Went beautifully with our charcuterie and pasta. No decant needed. |

Of a more transparent red with garnet nail color, at the nose it hat typical blood/iron smell, with orange, spicies, tobacco. On the palate it has a perferc balance between lively smooth tannins and acidity, long and persistent finish. It has for sure time in front of itself but it's great now. |
