palate: dry acid med tannin med bod med alc est 13.5 finish is pleasantly bitter and tanic, and the flavor of sour cherry (!) led me to suspect an Italian wine

In the end Malbec from Argentina ...

... and organic, which may account for some of the above ...

now that it has been open some terroir is coming through (hence the name tierra) ... lots of earth.
